Former Mrs. Nevada, who was behind a few rebill CPA offers, buttfucked by FTC

In the first link, what's the relation between the two stories? As in a woman making millions out of rebills and another forced to sit at the back of the bus?

uhhhh, none. just 2 stories on 1 page

I don't get it - she scams $30,000,000 and they make a point that she has had to give up $130,000 in personal assets like her camaro. WTF, that shit was bought with the money from slinging the berries of course it should be fucking siezed.

I can't believe how stupid the sentences are. 29 years in prison? WTF? In the UK you'd only get that length of sentence for killing someone.

Our prisons are too full from you berry slingers getting 30 years and shit, gotta let the killers go free.

hahah so true

what I don't get is, had these companies actually provided a decent product/service and honored refunds, they would have been able to keep all their money. Sure, they have to have a competitive CPA, but committing fraud isn't exactly the right way to go about it. This is why I'm pretty careful about what I promote on the CPA networks and research who is behind the offers. Whenever I hear an offer is "blowing up" with crazy epc's it's usually because it's uncompliant and therefore converts better than everything else

Did he actually get 30 years for the rebill products? From what I read it seems he got 30 years for a telemarketing scam.

It was all hooked together - he was using Utah telemarketing to upsell the people who bought berries.

Why settle for a 70$ rebill when you can suck their entire credit card dry, take their house and make them sell Grandma into slavery? Those crazy Mormons...

" the FTC filed a complaint against the defendants alleging that they violated the FTC Act by operating an advance-fee credit card scam through a network of boiler rooms, Canadian front men, and outsourced fulfillment and customer service centers. The Commission alleged that the defendants targeted consumers with poor credit histories, offering credit cards that never materialized, while upselling various benefit packages through an incomprehensible, computer-generated “verification” tape"

so basically they tricked people into giving away their bank account information?

lolwat.. life is 25 years.. if I murdered a dude I would serve around 15 in the UK. Unless ofcourse the media get involved in which case you're fucked.

But yeah, here you wouldn't get sentenced to 29 years unless it's a murder by firearm.
