The site that was removing the links was confickervirus.info. The wiki has been great for traffic.

I think it's someone being an a-hole. That's why I was asking. I haven't messed w/ Wikipedia on high traffic stuff like this before, thought someone else around here might have some insight.
 
Geez, changed 2x since last time. I put both of ours back up...at least for the next 30 seconds. There's gotta be a better way to do this.
 
Its a mod. I got a chill the fuck out message. So I edited a few links in the other areas to my aff links for the hell of it.
 
Guys you need to start commenting on all the security and tech news blogs, April the 1st is coming up!
 
I have ran into a little snag with adwords. On a good note I am getting tons of traffic from foreign countries. Apparently my site has been featured on a high traffic site.

I plan to look for a plugin that will translate the content. If anyone knows of one off hand that would be nice ans save some time.
 
So besides finding obvious april 1st doomsday event scenarios, what exactly happened with conficker? What does the payload do?
 
Interesting to note a number of this sites here have been listed on the confickerworkinggroup's site as malicious sites, which sucks away some of their credibility.

Traffic has definitely died down today. Yesterday was my peak with around 3K unique visitors (most of it coming from organic search).

CTR to the offers was good, but they converted like shit for me. Fun little experiment though. Definitely will be trying to hop on something "buzzy" like this again, hopefully next time around I can monetize the traffic more effectively.
