The "hot dog" isn't to feed a starving person, it's to pay the policemen that stop criminals coming and taking 100% of your hot dogs.
We need publicly financed police why? Where I live we recently got rid of a bunch of them, because it was either bankruptcy or that. I haven't noticed anyone running through my neighborhood robbing people or vandalizing things. It did do one thing though. It's changing the entire landscape of our arts district, because they're now extorting the gallery owners. They've increased the security requirements for public events to help fund the police department. Based on the security requirements guess who you're basically required to hire? If you guess the police you'd be correct. Other cities are offering our best promoters and gallery owners incentives to move there and they're taking them up on the offers.
You want a quick way to get arrest without really doing anything wrong? Go jaywalk in front of a cop. In most places they'll ticket you, but here they'll actually arrest you.
I'd much rather have a police department that was actually responsible to the public instead of one that extorts it. Base on history is seems pretty much impossible to get that through a public service, because they are never actually held accountable for their actions. Will a private company be better? I have no idea, but it's worth trying.
It also needs to pay for the roads that you drove to the store to buy the hot dogs from.
Roads aren't suppose to be paid for with income tax. They're suppose to be paid for by the tax on fuel sales and tolls on roads. If they mismanage the funds how exactly is that anyones fault but the governments?
Without a tax on your hot dog income to pay for societal services you would have zero hot dogs,
So before we have an income tax in the US we have 0 businesses producing anything?
safety for his hot dog factories
Plenty of companies are currently protected by privately owned armed security companies. They're generally the first line of defense. The police don't stop crimes before they happen. They attempt to figure out what happened after the fact.
or educated hot dog scientists you would probably die of hot dog poisoning as there would be no public money to pay for a health and safety enforcement so hot dog kingpins could fatten their hot dogs with actual "hot dogs" straight from dogs asses.
Why do you think that private education is inferior to public education?
If a company produced a product that injured or killed a bunch of people, because of a faulty / unsafe process how long would they be in business?
If you're saying they'd be making hotdogs out of real dogs instead of what they currently do then I'd say it would probably be a better product than what's currently in hotdogs.
