Free Trial Versions of products

Has anyone here had any experience with affiliates that offer free trial versions of their products, for example: 30 day free trial versions or limited versions that are upgraded to full versions only they pay, etc.

That really depends on the offer in question.

I tried an offer for a dropshipping company. I didn't do jack shit to promote it. I just made one wordpresss blog post about getting into drop shipping, and recommended the company as a good place to get started, since they have a free trial.

I think the payout was $5 for the lead, and another $70 if they stayed on board with the service.

I just wrote one article, submitted it to ezines, and one blog post. Less than a half hours work, and so far I've got 3 signups.

I plan on going back to the campaign, building a legitimate landing site, and putting some more promotion behind it, because I think it could be really good, especially if I can get users to sign up for some of the pay per sale offers on the site.

most of the affiliates that i'm dealing with offer free trial versions and that's what most of the visitors get so i have wait to see if they convert. so far i'm not seeing any conversions, but it's too early at this point to really see results i think.
