This. If you're in a western country you should go to school. If you're smart you could make a lot of money and look respectable (literally, wearing a tie etc). Go to a good college and assimilate yourself with future paymasters. You want to learn how they think and ingratiate yourself with them so that you can manipulate them down the road (this isn't being slimey, you can have win-win situations). It's basic corporate sociopath 101 training. Just don't do anything stupid that makes you complacent.
Being an entrepreneur doesn't mean you need to conform to the rules of non-conformity and exclusively make monies online/launch some shitty startup company. You can make a killing by making everyone think you're playing by their rules while secretly doing things your own way.
That being said, how can you not make money with SEO or service hustling? Did you even rank for anything at all? Also about ppc maybe you should try the adwords content network/ppv/targeted banner ads. These are usually more predictable than search PPC or even facebook, at least for me.
