Ive been running a money site for quite a while now and suddenly i get this mail saying that I would be liable for blacklisting if my 10k links a day gets caught. Then I check to see where these 10k links a day come from and I knew it wasnt me. Fucking some jackass somewhere is playing around with some mass link building software and is messing with me. Its all coming from behind proxies so I have no clue how to track the mofos. But, what I really wanted to know is can these pricks do that? And since they are doing that, how the fuck can I control it?

All you need to do is shit on all the other competitors. give them 50k of dirty links a day, they will soon be blacklisted before you.

If your site is established and you don't mind a manual review, file a G reconsideration request - only if you get blacklisted. Although, it's unlikely to happen because anyone can do it to anyone and G knows that.

Technically, you could try to 301 redirect those links somewhere using RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER}, but as there are thousands, your .htaccess would be huge and your Apache (if that's what you use) could go crazy.

All you can do now in my opinion is find out how is doing it or who did you piss off!

There are some posts here in WF where some reputable members have given their opinion about it. If you're getting spam links from competitors, those links will be devaluated and it will not get you a penalty.
