Fucking HATE paypal

I opened my PP account a long ass time ago, I would say prob around 2001 or so.

I never kept much money in it back in the day, but when I was starting out on it I had this client that paid me via PP and it was only about $500 a month they paid me for some simple SEO work. One month they did something on their Amex card that jacked up their PP payment to me and PP held my money for 180 days. I had about 3 months of payments ( $1500 ) in it and it was horrible waiting for it. The client even called PP and talked to the reps personally and it still took the full 180 days.

I kinda stayed away from PP since then, however the last 12 months I have been using it heavily and had about $15k in there for several months and received a TON of incoming and outgoing payments from the account and hadn't had a problem in the 12 months I started it back up.

It looks like only a few people are actually okay with the function of Paypal.

I got limited first, then limited again and then I got fed up and moved to 2checkout.

So, a month ago I signed up for it and have received over $1000-2000 in funds there without any problems. YES, I had to pay a $50 start up registration fee but that was it. Their customer support was literally 24 hour replies and they were very, very helpful indeed.

They do not have stupid limitations and they are very easy to use and they support Paypal for payments. And another thing, they have all types of withdrawals. (With very little fees)

If you are looking for an alternative to Paypal, 2checkout is waiting..

NOTE: I do not work for 2checkout in any way, haha.

Paypal can suck my dick.

But they are something which we hate, but we need. 99% of people use Paypal as a method of money sending so we need to use it, even though they suck that bad.

I got limited and got held of $4000. After around 6 months, I wasn't even allowed to withdraw to my bank for some bullshit reason.

Now I use 2checkout. They accept Paypal payments and many more and they are 100x better.

1) Better customer support
2) Better on the whole
3) Paypal < 2Checkout

I would shoot myself in the face or sit outsite their office with a bat waiting for the board of directors to come out if they took $4k, or some other obscene number like a few of these posts indicate...

Dresden, don't you run a debt settlement biz? Are you having them pay you through paypal, because if you need a high risk merchant I can hook you up with who some associates in the biz use.

Yes, both debt management and debt settlement. Am I using this account for running my payments? Absolutley not, that would be heenky as shit telling my clients to make payments via paypal, lol. I use paypal only to pay people on these forums. I never receive money on paypal. The only reason they have a positive balance of mine, is because I was a dumb fuck and went to the grocery store and bought a few $1,000 prepaid moneypak cards to separate from using my corporate visa cards. So they had round $400 tied up; but with a few payments that didnt go through (river, zingo, a few others); they have about $800 bux I think in total.

paypal stole my $50... fucken assholes want to kill them

agreed; lets do this...

Paypal is bullshit. Good luck on getting your money after the 180 days because they can still not pay you.

Google checkout is the best way to go. Use their email invoice tool and you can send an email asking for payment. Never had a problem with them for over 2 years.

Tell the indians and everyone else in the BST to use that... I have to comply with their payment methods..

They perma banned me. Fuck Gaypal.

I've been permanently banned, probably like 20-30 times. I always find ways around it (using prepaid cards, new IP, format, alias's, all kinds of shit). They just got more strict and idk why, but I was a dumbass and put in my SSN which tied accounts. I sent them hatemail saying I was gonna file suit, and contact the federal reserve and banking commission since there trying to "HOLD" peoples money (which indicates banking) which they claim to not be. I get notices like these sometimes from those goons. So hopefully this scares them into giving me back my dorah. Regardless though, fuck paypal

I had an account something like 9 years ago. I received a little money for web design/seo work and some affiliate commissions. They closed it down, and asked me for an obscene amount of evidence that I was not defrauding them. I tried to comply, but since it was less than $1k, I eventually gave up.

A few years latter, I opened up a new one. I have it still. I currently move 5 digits per month through that account, receiving money, sending it, and withdrawing. Haven't had any problems since; but I don't trust the fuckers after my first experience. Wish there was something else that is as popular....

I don't have any problems with paypal anymore. Get verified and become a business verified member or what ever. At first everyone has problems with paypal, but can you blame them? With all the scammy shit people pull and all the indians that used it. And nobody has stepped up to paypal to try and do it better. Their fees are stupid and some of the stuff they do is retarded, but once you get over the first few bumps and account gets established as trustworthy you wont have any problems

THIS, just make sure to get all the fucking papers for them and they are quite good.

I even get calls from them asking if they can can do something for me to help with my sales. I also got a my own account manager that helps me with everything just a few weeks ago.

So there is an upside, I think myself have started atleast 2-3 threads on this forum about how much donkey balls they suck, but I do really like them now.

As far as I know, if you have a proper Business account with Paypal and not selling make money online shit, they're not going to bother too much regardless of what you're doing...

When you receive X,XXX to your account and suddenly withdraw everything out, then it will definitely raise a red flag...

If you think all you need is a business account with PayPal to not be limited or reserved, you're wrong. I've had a business account with them for years. They keep a $2000 minimum reserve to never be released until 180 days after I close my account and also a 10% rolling reserve for 180 days. Let's just say they have a shitload of my money locked up.

I believe everyone here was or will be screwed by Paypal at least one in their life as long as they still use Paypal and still doing IM ~

And yeah, i got screwed over by them just a few months ago.

Held 2k of mine for 180 days, because I was "running a high risk business".

Basically I was selling custom painted iPhones, and shipping a lot over seas. Sold probably 15k worth.

Literary they said I wasn't doing anything that break their terms, they just said my business was flagged as "high risk".

I was so fucking pissed. You should sue. If they were non-online based company they would been sued a long time ago.

I went round and round with them on getting my money. They would ask for id. I would give it. They would ask for more then.

Then they would ask for a newer copy of something already given to them.

After 10 months of this shit I send them a Demand Letter threatening to take them to Small Claims and it was signed for on a Saturday.

I had my money midday Monday.

It was all just bullshit and they dont pay attention until they are going to have to send a lawyer to court or get a judgement against them.

Fuck Paypal.

Are any of the PayPal competitors owned by a bank?
For those of you that have had offline businesses - are the problems more so than with traditional CC processors & your traditional banks?

Having worked in Banking at one point in my life - customers hate and/or have had bad experiences with their banks too.

The question I am asking - are these problems because PayPal sucks or would they have happened with other banks etc?

Google Checkout is ok. I used it for an e-commerce site for a while and had no issues. Fees were actually considerably less when I used it too.

they have strict shipping policies you can only charge the card moments before shipping.

Their fees are 3% around the same as paypal.

their are unfriendly to info products, they prefer only physical goods.

You can't use them like you can with paypal in receiving payments from networks and paying outsourcers with.

It is designed strictly for ecommerce sites.

True. I was using for ecommerce. The fee was less than 3% at the time + was getting an adsense bonus which was kind of nice. Haven't used it in forever though.

In Europe, Paypal is a bank.

European Paypal accounts can withdraw to a US bank.

In the UK, it is easy to incorporate.

UK is part of Europe.

Connect the dots.

^ this.

I had a business account which was fully verified. Yet, they took my $4k.

Interesting.

In the US PayPal can withdraw and deposit to banks & Bank Accounts, but they are not a "Bank" they are a payment processor and as such not subject to banking supervision and accountability.
