hahaha. saaaad. I'm going to do whatever it takes to avoid having little shitheads like that.

I just want to load all those twitter handles in to software and just pitch them iPad and iPhone offers every 5 minutes for weeks on end.

There is EXACTLY ONE THING all of those complaining spoiled shits have in common:

Their parents did not give them enough attention.

If you give your child all the attention it can use it will care as much as a honeybadger about physical shit.

They wouldn't want it because they'd already have it.

The truth of this matter is that if their parents gave them enough attention while they were young, these kids would have been making enough money by now to buy the damn iphone themselves already... Even if they were still 14.

in b4 steve jobs ruined christmas.

Seriously though, these days buying lego for your brothers/sisters kids doesn't cut it, they want an ipad or at least a decent powered android tablet/smartphone etc..

OPne of my nephew really likes to build stuff, I got him a massive lego set, he was like meh.. i want an ipad for my sketches... wtf happened to pencil and paper???

That's what happens when people fail as parents...

I would be well ashamed to have any of those ungrateful little scumbags as children and would have wished I did their mothers mouth in stead of her twat. Poor fathers :(

Okay, at least not all of the respondents are completely ridiculous (like a map of Maryland..?! and "kind of upset I didn't get a car"), although a large majority of them are. I don't know that parents not giving their children enough attention has anything to do with their ungratefulness, but I think somewhere in the scheme of parenting something went awry.

Where though? What on earth do some parents do, or not do, that creates such devilish bastards? This honestly just reinforces my decision to not have kids.

Parents don’t deserve all of the blame as they are only part of the equation (an important one, no doubt). Teens have more autonomy than parents want to believe. Thus the rebellion / parental conflict stage.

I’m convinced that some kids turn out rotten regardless of adequate parenting due to other environmental factors.

Other influences to consider:
1) Our gadget obsessed culture
2) Child’s peers (what friends and “other kids at school” got for X-mas)
3) Teachers
4) Marketing and mass media

i need to find out what apples putting in the water to make everyone want a g dam iphone. Read like the first 10 comments and blah, demand must be high

For some reason most people arrogantly believe their own children will turn out GREAT due to their superior parenting skills and decision-making.

Regardless of one’s best efforts a kid may turn out to be an entitled asshole. Granted, you may strike it rich and raise a genius that deeply loves and respects you too.

Your powers are profound but limited as a parent. So much of it left up to environmental factors out of your control and chance that I wonder if having a child is one of life’s riskiest gambles.

Parents are brave and giving almost to the level of insanity. They willingly re-perpetuate the human species on their own dollar for nebulous, highly-subjective rewards. Meanwhile society at large ultimately reaps the benefits of their labour as parents (hopefully).

I have long suspected Apple customers are whiny pretentious brats. For example, you see that nobody on that thread is complaining that they did not get a Zune.

Microsoft forever.
