I'd like to make my garage nice. It's a rats nest now. Any of you guys know of any good ways to use the space?

Must haves: Gym equipment, workbench, shelving.

Optional: Dart board, wet bar (mini fridge), tv's

Already have: (2 )car garage with extra cutout by kitchen door, attic with plenty of storage space for seasonal stuff, rarely used stuff. Gym equip, sound system, lawn equipment, full auto toolboxes (stand up snap-on), and the typical random bs (trash cans, spare tires, etc.)

Idea 1: I'm ripping out our carpet and installing all new (living room and 3 bedrooms + hallway). I was thinking, would it be a good idea to use the old carpet in the garage or is that tacky? I don't use the garage for any cars, so I don't really need anything like epoxy floors or whatever. They're all outisde cuz the driveway fits plenty.

Lay it on me.

My garage/shop only houses tools & machinery and can barely fit those and 1 car in there to work on... I can't imagine cramming all that shit into a "garage".

Like eliquid falling trees, branches, ice, snow etc.. suck to deal with if you have to drive to work every day, but working from home I don't find it an issue. We also have a handful of spots that are safe from the majority of these issues.

I like the Gladiator Garage storage cabinets you hang on the wall. You can find them on clearance at Sears a few times per-year, and then snag 3-5 of them. Gladiator 30'' Wall Magnetic Latch Gear Box go on sale for $80-90 retail is 130-140 so a pretty big saving.

I'd try to store the yard-work supplies outside the garage, maybe in a cheap shed from home depot or lowes, or DIY.

HOA doesn't allow outside sheds, but good idea. Also, I live where there's no snow, and my driveway has no trees near it, so the cars are okay outside. Sun damage is still a worry, but I dont buy new cars, I'm not too worried.

This gladiator stuff looks nice though.

I see plenty of room for another ten or twenty sportbikes, and a few dirt bikes, supermoto, etc...

I have no toys as of yet, just an 1960s muscle car which is garaged (storage unit) and not running. I doubt I'd bring it to my residence. ATV might be a future add tho.

I read this as

"mom needs the basement to do her scrapbooking, so now I have to move to the garage. any decorating tips would be appreciated"

Any of you guys know where to get a good power rack?

Been browsing local and semi-local craigslist and browsed the interwebs for one and found a lot of off-brand bs, or something which required crazy shipping charges nearly doubling the price. I found a local place which resells local gym equipment refurbished from the big names (golds, planet, etc) but theyre on a waiting list for them at the moment.

Any ideas?
