Whoa shit. I got half way through saving his entire site a couple months ago, then never finished. Kinda wish I had, now. Hope they get that shit straightened out.

EDIT: And thank you, archive.org. Now I'm definitely gonna get those letters saved. To think, the letters on that site don't represent half of those he wrote. And those are just his letters. I would buy everything that man ever produced.

I have all his shits :D

Well shit on a stick, I was actually starting to read these from time to time... Can anyone be nice and upload it? I'm sure you'll get at least 10 +reps!

who's Gary Halbert?

gary had one of the finest marketing minds ever to grace this planet.
contributed more to the art of direct response than anyone else has, or likely will for years to come.
truly one of the best no bullshit, results-driven copywriters. hell of a teacher too.

if ya'll care to get a multi-million dollar education for free, httrack the archived site then read it from bottom to top while you still can. check out anything you can find on youtube with him speaking. you can glean enough copywriting know-how from his letters and videos alone that would rival any training/coaching you can find today.

can't devote enough time to do the man justice in this post. a legend, for sure.

I've been hand-copying his ads and headlines in a journal as per his advice and it really does help a person new to marketing to get an idea of what good copywriting should be.

I remember that advice :) That's how I learned my first copywriting steps long time ago.

Another good one is Dan Kennedy, I have few of his courses and those courses rule.
