Gay Dating Superbowl Ad Rejected

I didn't read the article, so I don't know what the commercial entailed... But if it has dudes doing 'anything' with eachother, I think it's a good thing it got shot down.

As fucking weird as it is, one of my good friends is gay (he was my friend long before I knew he liked the cock), so they don't 'scare' me or anything, but I mean, seriously, no one wants to watch 2 dudes makeout.

ManCrunch's ad, which can be viewed on its Web site, shows two men watching the Super Bowl. Their hands brush each other in the potato chip bowl, which inspires a passionate, male-on-male make-out session.
Yeah, full on make out it looks like. Not really sure about targeting their demographic during the Super Bowl. Probably just a ploy for some controversy. The article stated they just raised 40 million bucks from investors. I would be a bit pissed about them spending 3 million of that on a Super Bowl commercial if I was one of those investors. They should get some nice press coverage though saying CBS hates fags now...

Yes, it would be disgusting to watch 2 men kiss during the superbowl. But this is still discrimination.

In reality (according to CNN Money), they miserably failed their credit check, but CBS said they would be happy to work with them had they actually had the funds.

Come on guys, that was a total publicity stunt. Seems like it worked great.

Yeah to me it sounds like they specifically made the ad so that it would be rejected.

This way they don't have to pay 3 mil and get even more publicity than if the ad had aired. Plus they look like the victim and get some gay fight-the-power sympathy.

exactly. companies have been doing this for years. It gets them a lot of publicity without actually having to pay that $3 mill/commercial price tag.

Godaddy did the same thing a few years ago. They had to "tame" their ad to get it aired, which of course had everyone looking for it online...

^^Good and I hope CBS gets in hot water for it too. Yes they have the right to reject it and we have the right to call them out as bigots.

This is just like that adam lambert shit. gay commercial = fine, no worries. gay make out session = over the top.

True but when was the last time you saw a straight make out session on CBS? And if you did then it should be allowed for the gays as well. What's good for the goose is good for the other goose.

I have nothing against two guys making out but if I was in charge of CBS I sure as hell wouldn't let it air. You'd outrage so many NFL fans that would start calling for the superbowl to be on a different channel and all sorts of crap.

Nice publicity stunt on the sites part though, I doubt they didn't have it planned this way as others have pointed out.
