Have you heard about googles Business Referral Representative program?

As far as I have understood, you receive 10$ if you refer a company do googles business directory and the owner approves it.

They say:
You can earn up to $10 for each approved, verified referral you submit. This includes $2 when a business referral is approved by Google; and $8 when an approved business verifies that the information you submitted is accurate. Referrals are approved by Google based on the completeness and quality of data supplied by representatives. Businesses verify their information either by sending us a response postcard or verifying their information online.
Perhaps it might be some easy cash if you do it within a mall or some business area whatever....... and you can get away from the screen by going to the shops etc....

Yeah you get $2 for driving out somewhere, getting pictures, and gathering all kinds of data on the business. And $8 if you can get the owner to confirm it. Kind of low payouts for alot of work, really. I guess if you could hit two places an hour and ensure the owners confirm it would pay alot better than a summer job, though.

Id rather not build Google's wealth any more. Thats just me.

yea i saw this a long time ago on john chow. I wouldn't do it b/c like krazy said, google doesn't deserve to get bigger. also, it's really a waste of time if you think about it. All that work for $10 a listing... plus, you have to pay gas. this is like real life arbitrage right here. What if you get sued for taking pics and gathering info without the owners consent? blah...

Wow, if you're actually considering doing that, why not just get a job? It would be about a thousand times easier.

I applied a couple days ago, no response yet. I live in a semi-major city so I would be able to hit up a ton.

This looked interesting (I was thinking of sub-contracting it out at an hourly rate).. but to save anyone else wasting their time it appears to be US only at present.

Oh well, so much for my plan to pay guys $5 a hour to collect info in Delhi and Bangkok!
