Getting products into the aff networks

The thing is, Commission Junction is a clearing house. Way too many offers, you get lost in the crowd. Same for most of the large networks.

I'd rather get in with a smaller (cottage) network with more focused affiliates and higher visibility.

Close working relationship, etc.

So I guess my question rephrased is: Which small to mid sized networks do you suggest/have worked with, etc.

We are a vendor in Shareasale, I think it's too small. You are joining to take advantage of the webmaster/publisher network. More is better.

How many active affiliates do you have promoting your products?

Active ones are too few, inactive are many. Too many coupon sites apply, but we don't work with them.

Unless there is some reason specific to your niche, I recommend you go for a large list of publishers, not the smaller networks.

We're thinking of switching, but too many projects on the front-burner right now.

Anyone else? I have contacts for most of the networks from Affiliate Summit East last year in NYC when I showcased Jounce.com (affiliate offer search), which was back burnered for Instapage.com, the product I'm trying to gain affiliates for.

Just trying to get a good idea of where the performance is.

Thanks for your input @Jake1125, super useful.
