A couple years ago I bought a block of domains for an Anime network I was making, thinking that since it got such good traffic it'd convert. It actually did fairly well, I made back my investment a few times over. However, it just got too much to keep finding and replacing broken video links.

Back when I was taking care of the sites, they all got 800-2,000+ visitors a day, averaging closer to 2,000 without much link building and were ranking #1-3 for the keywords I wanted. I still get about 100-200 visitors a day on each site with broken videos.

A couple of the sites are expiring in 1 day, and I was going to just let them drop, but thought someone might want the set.

What the sites need:

  • A script to check the competition for new videos and update with.

How to monetize:

  • Right now I just have some Adsense and Ebay ads on them. I've just been too lazy to push some Male Muscle or Male Enhancement ads on them, which would convert.

The network did pretty well in driving traffic between the sites, and still does. Each site also uses the same code, and shares a few scripts between them.

I developed it on an old Siteground account and ran them out of a subdirectory using .htaccess. You can still do that if you want, or split them up.

I made a basic Administration area for them, and made it so every new entry would be pingged. So it's pretty good about getting new videos indexed.

If you want help with the code then I'll ask for some compensation for my time.

If anyone wants the set, let me know and I'll give you the code. I won't give you them though if I don't think you'll actually take care of the domains. I want to look back in a few months and see some domination.

If you have a Godaddy account I'll transfer ownership without you having to go through a transfer.

Okay, I've gotten some questions about the .htaccess subdirectory part.

What happened was I didn't want to open up a new shared hosting account for each site (and didn't want to pay $30/year for an addon domain). So, I just put each site in it's own folder within another of my domains, made the domain names parked on that account, and had it show the folder as if it were it's own domain.

It's not hard and I'd give you the .htaccess code since I'm currently still doing that when I migrated the sites over to my VPS once I let the hosting expire.

I'm going to end this in about 3 hours (10PM EST) so that whoever ends up with the domains will have time to renew the expiring ones. I think they expire tomorrow at midnight, but you never really know with Godaddy. They want to charge you that $80 recovery fee as quick as they can.
