Some of you in the seo world may have heard about this guy. He is known as Charles or 'God of SEO'

Especially recently with him being involved in setting up a new blackhat forum.



Charges are: kiddy porn and hacking.

The hacking part I don't really care about, but kiddy porn...


If you can, please reach out to him with Brian Costello's details.

These are just charges, nothing has been proven yet.

The case is going to court on the 5th of November

meh, wouldn't get the pitch forks out just yet. Doesn't sound like much of a kiddie porn case. If it was, the media would have hyped it more -- "police seized thousands of images depicting horrific sexual abuse of children as young as 4" type of thing.

This just makes it sound as though a 16 year old sent him a photo of her tits, and he had some of that Japanese cartoon stuff on his computer. I'm assuming that cartoon stuff is what "non-photographic prohibited images of children" is.
 
Yep.

And if you ask me, this is one of the stranger laws in existence in several countries.
Why?

Easy. Child porn is forbidden because children were hurt making it.
Manga/Cartoons/3D computer graphics?
The reason to ban those is very shaky.

In essence, you would need to ban "Bambi" because of animal cruelty.

Easy access to porn has shown to lower rape incidences, too. (Talking normal cases here, not child abuse)

But cry "kiddie porn" and suddenly everyone is OK with censorship.
(German government does this every time they want to control the net, as do other governments.)

Me, I don't care for japanese "loli" cartoon images, but I care about freedom of speech.

PS: The article talks about a Charlton Floate, not Charles.... possible that this is someone else?

So would an 18 yo having tit pics from his 16 yo girlfriend be still classified as "possessing photographic indecent images of children" ?

As for the guy, he always went by Charles but it's definitely the same guy. Maybe he didn't like his name much :)

Forget your proverbial pitchforks. I can't see the explanation 'it was just cartoons guys' helping much where he's going, lol.

Yes, sadly.

There have been 15 year old teens on trial for distributing child porn - naked selfies or dick pics of themselves sent to other kids.

Unfortunately yes, and it usually winds up with the guy getting stuck on the sex offender list which pretty much buttfucks him in the ass for life over nothing. In plenty of places it's legal to fuck the girl but illegal as fuck to have pictures of her naked.

I've personally been in a situation before where a 15-16 year old girl was threatening to send me nudes and then call the cops saying I had child porn. I had no fucking clue what to do, so I just documented her threats the best I could and planned on deleting anything she sent me immediately.

Guessing at the justification: If you made it legal worldwide tomorrow to have nudes of someone 14+ (for example), then you run into the issue of porn companies approaching 15 year old girls wanting them to perform with parental permission. Some fucked-up percentage of girls out there are going to be able to do this with their parents' permission, and then I could see things getting a little out of hand maybe? I don't know.

All I know is that if I have some 16 year old nympho who sucks my cock a few times a week, then I want to be able to show pictures of her taking a dildo up the ass to my buddies to brag.

Question: Are there other things that are legal to do and illegal to take pictures of you doing?
 
Sex is a weird one ...

OK to take money if you are an "actor/actress" and get filmed doing it for redistribution.
Illegal if prostitute doing it out of sight.

Anytime I look at anything seo "industry" related I can't help but cringe. Bunch of lying, scammy attentionwhore idiots.

I hope domains go way up in price and start costing thousands instead of $11.99/yr. Internet would be a much better place.

Barrier to entry is too fucking low.
