im going to vegas for a week and will absolutely need to update wordpress. i have my sites on a dedicated server with liquidweb. i will most likely be accessing internet through unsecured wifi. can someone please tell me the neccessary steps to keep me 100% safe from attackers and keep my login information secured?

i know it may involve ssl/ssh but i am, very new to these concepts and would love an explanation of what to do to set it all up. i have tried googling but have not found any clear cut answers...or im just stupid. please assist!
 


You could jsut get a VPN for a month subscription. Should just be $5 to $15.

Set it up and learn to use OpenVPN before your trip.

Set up a box with linux and an open source vpn solution on it. VPN to that baby to do your work on your server. Use it as a secure proxy for web browsing as well.

**Or buy a cheap linksys router with VPN capability.
