Exhibit W in the downward spiral of the USA:

All US customers have just been turned away from the #1 storage firm for precious metals worldwide.

From today's Sovereign Man:

Simon Black said:
ViaMat, a Swiss logistics company that has been safeguarding precious metals since 1945, is literally the gold standard in secure storage.

They have vaults from Switzerland to Hong Kong to Dubai, and they count among their clients some of the largest mining companies in the world. They know what they're doing.

And now they're dumping US citizens.

ViaMat does a great deal of business within the United States. As such, the company is heavily exposed to the insane US regulatory environment.

As an example, the 2010 Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act turned into more than 500 pages of regulation! The costs and risks associated with compliance simply became too much for ViaMat to bear.

This matter-of-fact letter from ViaMat management explains their decision:

"We are currently experiencing rapid and substantial changes in the general regulations within this business. The changes mainly relate to the tax structures and taxation systems of various countries. As a consequence of these changes VIA MAT INTERNATIONAL has taken the decision to stop offering this service at its vault [sic] outside of the US to private customers with potential US-tax liability."

This is huge. I can't possibly overstate the potential ramifications.

For one, the big gold depositories like Gold Money and Bullion Vault ALL use ViaMat as a primary secure storage provider. So it's only a matter of time before ViaMat's decision cascades across these other firms.

I have written extensively about this to subscribers of our premium service, Sovereign Man: Confidential; most gold storage firms are all essentially different varieties of the exact same product. They are retail marketing channels that ultimately use ViaMat to store their gold bars. If ViaMat has US exposure, THEY have US exposure. It's the same risk.

Now, if you're in the United States in particular, one of the most important (and cost effective) steps you can take in international diversification is to store precious metals overseas.

Gold remains the most effective 'anti-currency' out there, a bet against a corrupt financial system and debt-laden sovereign governments. But remember-- governments have an unblemished track record of plundering their citizens' wealth. So if you store your gold in the US, you might as well ask Barack Obama to keep it under his mattress.

Anyone got odds on how long it will be before the white house steals all of the citizenry's gold again like they did in 1933?

Have begun to hear rumblings of gold dealers in the south (US) being forced to card buyers and sellers of gold and silver.

When you consider that China and Russia have been hording "tons" of gold in the past couple years to make a play at the petro-dollar. It seems reasonable with the race to the bottom devaluing currency's to purchase gold that major "reform" is on the horizon. Perhaps DHS will begin to flex their muscles and come and take what is no longer stored in the worlds "safest" gold vaults.

Ah fuck, IamDissapoint.

If this kind of news doesn't spark an intelligent conversation about what's happening to the USA, instead of one about me, then nothing will.

...Obomba could recall all of the gold, close all the borders, start killing 10 americans a day, put a giant camera in every one of your living rooms, and start taxing everyone @ 90% of their income and you ignorant fucks would still just talk about ME & how obsessed I am when I post a thread about any part of it... Sheesh.

Sometimes I feel like I already live in the future world from Idiocracy.

What's there to talk about? We're all fucked and we all know it.

The part that bothers me is there is no place for us to go. Like, I guess there are a few places you can go that don't have harsh government control, but not really. And the places available to go are not a majority of white people, not sure I'd want to go someplace where I was the minority, unless Asians were the majority.

What is the country everyone seems to like? LukeP and Gurilla both like it, I think. Singapore?

I just wish we could get a state like Texas or Alaska or something, and break off from the union, a new libertarian country with a majority of whites. I think they're doing it in Maine, the free state project thing. But last I hear the Maine politicians are starting to fuck with the whole thing.

These people should consider themselves lucky, they'll have to take physical delivery of the gold so will get the real stuff.

Most of the gold people think they have in storage doesn't actually exist. It's fractional reserve gold storage which doesn't really matter as no one will find out when the GOv goes into confiscation mode.

The major economies are being systematiclly imploded and for a reason. Take a look at how many place men Goldman Sachs has now got in key Gov and financial power positions across the world.

I never understood how someone would buy gold and not actually take possession of it, instead they get some stupid certificate. As if the shit hit the fan this company would be like "Oh shit, we need to find out clients and get them all their gold!". No, they'd be like fuck yea bros, time to GTFO of dodge with all this gold. When I buy gold, I buy a few grams of gold nuggets at a time off ebay. You can get it for $5 to $10 over spot per gram on there, which I have no issue with as I am not buying it to spend but buying it to keep.

1. Plenty, such as when, where, and how to prevent it. If a comet was coming would we all just ignore the subject until it hit us?

2. Some folks around here don't seem to understand, or believe at all, that things really are bad now. They just plod along thinking "it's always been kinda bad but not too bad... this is just more of the same."

Sadly they're wrong this time, there are many huge indicators, and this isn't even one of the biggest ones... So I guess there is always the wake up call to talk about, which I seem to be the only one with any passion for around here.

Actually no, Singapore and HK are both very free comparred to the US but their downsides are Huge.

Chile, however, is even more free than those two countries, and it's downsides are extremely small.

This is a subject Simon Black covers in extreme detail. After he started building the first Libertarian community down there several years ago, there have already been others following suit.

To paraphrase Simon, the benefits of Chile are:

  1. It's Economically sound with a small government.
  2. It's economy is booming.
  3. Taxes are very low and their tax code is short and sane.
  4. The gov there allows for very strong property rights.
  5. There is very minimal corruption, no bribery in sight.
  6. Starting a legal business there takes a few minutes, even for americans!
  7. It's well developed & modern. Really. Looks like LA in the bigger cities.
  8. People are civilized & stable, with an independent mindset.
  9. Pick your ideal climate; Chile's got it.
  10. It's frigging gorgeous there, with the Andes's tallest peaks only 2 hours away from some of the best beaches on the planet. (And great cities like Santiago right inbetween.)

Santiago:

I'll be visiting for the first time later this year, but there's little hurry since I'm pretty safe here in BKK too.

I just wish we could get a state like Texas or Alaska or something, and break off from the union, a new libertarian country with a majority of whites.
Chances of this happening: 0.00%.

Move along now; time to find something that IS possible.

There seem to be many different ways to buy into gold, and yeah, certificates for it sound by far the most stupid to me too. Owning stock in mining companies is the runner up in my mind for stupidity, since it's still vulnerable to stock market fuckups.

However not everyone has a well-fortified cabin in the woods like you bro; holding onto physical gold is kinda scary for ppl who live in apartments (like me) and for wussies who wouldn't own a gun. (Like eurofags.;))

Then of course keeping it in a safe deposit box at a bank is a popular choice, but of course the government can and does already confiscate those, wiping out a lifetime of wealth building... So clearly that sucks, unless you can get the bank out of a government's jurisdiction.

That's where ViaMat came in. They are global with banks in tons of different countries... No one government could steal your wealth from them... But today we found out that one country CAN force them to drop their citizens... So it's still not a perfect solution for americans.

Your best bet? Move to Chile, Singapore, HK, or Thailand and become a resident. (There may be other countries, like Nicaragua, Uraguay & some Caribbean islands, but those four are big & sound.) Get your money far away from the clutches of the evil empire.

I'd jerk off while making eye contact with Obama via webcam.

On a serious note this is fucked.

Welcome to every school I've been in. It sucks, but if you're smart you can succeed.

I have no problem being around brown people that share my ideology (I'm part brown people). You really shouldn't either. I get that you think the thinking is just a white thing, but it's really not. I've talked to mexicans, pakis, etc that feel like we do and they should be accepted as well. What you're saying sounds like you want a KKK country. I know that's not what you mean, but it's how it sounds.

It's New Hampshire and yeah, there's some institutional resistance cockblocking the effort. I don't follow it closely but the initial idea was to get several hundred liberty-minded people to move to the state for the sole purpose of running for offices and getting elected to take over at the local/county/state level. This was years ago. Slow going I guess.

I'll be visiting for the first time later this year, but there's little hurry since I'm pretty safe here in BKK too..

I haven't been there since the 1990's but I'm sure it's still a great place. When I was in Chilean Tierra del Fuego (Punta Arenas) cars down there were using natural gas. Their relatively free economy is far ahead of ours in many ways. You can see emus and penguins down there.

Make sure to ride a jitney. They're illegal in the USSA. The subway line in Santiago was immaculate. Nothing like the filth pit in Los Angeles.

Also, try Pan Hallelujah. I think that's the name. Tasty biscuits you can use for sammiches. If you take a bus to any town, you can usually find a person renting out a room in their house for cheap short-term accommodation. However, watch out for glory holes in restrooms. I used a restroom in a bus station and you could have fit your leg through it. I hope they've changed their restrooms customs. I recall finding most public restrooms without one or more of the following:

- paper towels
- soap
- warm water

That would probably explain the cholera outbreak during my visit.
