Just started watching this last night. I had initially stayed away thinking that a show with a female protagonist would be like a watching a female comic and I would hate it.

Between this and HOC Netflix is really stepping their game up. Now if we could just get FiOS to stop throttling Netflix service we would be in great shape.

Good movies from the last few months:

Gravity: 8.2/10 on IMDb
The Best Offer (or "La migliore offerta"): 7.9/10
Captain Phillips: 8.0/10
Escape Plan: 6.8/10, but it has Stallone and Schwarzenegger!
Ender's Game: 6.9/10, has some great music!

I can't believe no one's mentioned Hannibal (as in Hannibal Lecter) yet. Season 2 just started and it's just as mesmerizing as season 1. The best part of the show is the color palette - it's so rich and vivid, it's essentially a character unto it's own. It has to be seen to be appreciated. The acting, writing, pacing, twists...it's all on point. This has got to be the most underrated show of 2013 (and looks like 2014 as well).
