Would love to see the dorky ass games people here play, I got a good one. But it is probably over yall heads.

Personally I think if you are into war Then Company of heroes is good. there is an Open source game that looks promising too called 0AD [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXDxXGTzIf4]Introducing: 0 A.D. - Empires Ascendant / IndieGoGo Fundraising Campaign - YouTube[/ame] Otherwise if you dont really care about super graphics and what not then there is Europa Universalis 4... I've not personally played this game but i heard its good.

Make sure you add Planetary Annihilation to your list. Should come out in December of this year.

That looks pretty nice.

Another series that's a bit long in the tooth now but one I quite enjoyed is called Supreme Commander. The scale of the battles is massive (compared to, say, Starcraft) which is why the Planetary Annihilation trailer reminded me of it.

A good portion of the team worked on SupCom and Total Annihilation. It's on early access on Steam if you feel like paying ~$70 to be a tester. Planetary Annihilation on Steam

I use to play StarCraft 2 ALL the time when it first came out (Not to mention the first one) I was fairly good and at diamond level but like rp3v1 mentioned, it is VERY stressful. Being good is almost not even worth the work you have to put in.

Still a great RTS game even though I don't really play it anymore.

Company of Heroes for RTS

For grand strategy check out: Europa Universalis 3, Hearts of Iron 2 (Darkest Hour).

If you like Civ4 you will like: Galactic Civilizations 2.

I went on a little space strategy game kick a few months back and really enjoyed Galactic Civ 2 although some of the humour gets a bit corny.

You should try Civ5 before you throw it in the garbage. Lots more has been added to it with the expansion packs.
