Google Dance Question

I have about 5 sites that for some reason or another, Google hasn't listed them. Some of them were listed before, but I never did anything with them.
Now that I have sites on them, how long should I wait before worrying about it.

I know it's up to Google when it does what it does, but I would like to see where I am, so I know what and when if I need to do anything.

Do any of you know when Google does this, or is it more of a surprise party?

You didn't provide any real info on backlinks or when they were once listed or anything, so the general answer is make sure you have backlinks from well indexed sites pointing to them.

Nevermind, the main site I was trying to get listed at #1 for the term made it to the top.
I have 3-4 more to go, but I think they will be fine as well.

Hows the cigar blog ranking?

Not very good yet. I have been backlinking from other cigar related sites, adding content and the site was metioned in a pod cast on another cigar site. I went from no hits last week to averaging 20+ a day so far.
I did a google search for cigar blog, but it's not in the top 10 pages yet. Site is new, but I am working on it. No google pr yet, but I understand that doesn't mean much.
