I had another account here but hated the username; so no I'm not new but I never posted much anyhow.

On to my question:

I have a site that I was messing around with last August and just recently has been getting clicks with Adsense. I checked out the statistics and all of the about 100 uniques per day are coming via Google Images. It seems that my image ranks 1-3 for the top 2 keywords (maybe more?) of my niche; which I must say is a rather large niche. Is there any way to properly utilize this traffic? or is it mostly useless since the user is just looking for the image?

Also I just checked the rankings right now and it was nowhere on the first page; does anyone know how much google images fluxuates? I got 96 uniques yesterday...

I can tell you google images fluctuates almost daily. You might only rank top for about 2 or 3 days.

I actually ranked #1 for the word 'money'. Yes that sounds stupidly impossible but I did. Here's the scary part... it was a hotlinked image on my blog. So.. the bandwidth was on another server linked from my blog, and my blog ranked #1 for the image of 'money'.

Fucked up eh? The hot link was a mistake. I meant to fix it (and did) but kinda felt shitty afterward!

Anyway, within about 2 days I was off the map. And for the record, I got a shitload of traffic from that image. I got a ton of people asking me to use the image.... kinda funny.

Monetization wise, people will come see the page the image is used on to see if similar images are there. You could try leveraging that.

That's a great idea, I think I'll add some more images and restructure my adsense. I must be really slow today...

The thing about it though, Is that it's been going on for about a month... rarely ever not being first.
