Google is wasting honest webmasters time and giving them ulcers.

All this shows is that Google's plan is working. They've scared the shit out of companies and SEO'ers everywhere, to the extent that they're not only no longer SEO'ing, but actively un-SEO'ing.

Feels nice not to depend on GOOgle. My business model is based on ebay. I been hearing some horror stories lately bout google and how people 1000 a day adsensers came on the road due to this penguin etc. its pretty shocking.
A business model which depends on one search engine/website isn't much of a business anyway.

Anyone earning $1k a day who didn't diversify away from just Google is a fucking moron and doesn't deserve $1k a day.

The standard definition of internet according to wikipedia
The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks...

This is the base of internet. All sites are interconnected with each other. Now google is making this a taboo. By discouraging link building Google wants everybody to solely depend on search engines to find new sites. I think google have got their basics wrong. They will go downhill from here.

I get a ton of these as well. so fucking annoying. I hate how they come at me like I'm some asshole for having a link on a site when it's their, or their seo's, damn fault for using ALN.

then, not only do they want it taken down, they want verification sent that it's done? yeah fucking right.

let me hop right on that for you bernadette coleman....

nnnnnnnnnnot!

I have done nothing but loose money by following the masses Looks like its time to double down on the link building efforts.

HAHAHA customusb is my direct competition. I've recently submitted some reports of them buying links to Google, and now they're freaking out trying to get links removed?? I know it might be a coincidence, but I'd like to think not.

LY please stop outing, I don't want customusb to find this link. They might come here and learn seo.

I get them all the time.

Some have gone as far as contacting registar, sending C&D getting my personal information, then having some indian schmuck who can barely speak English beg me to take the links down.

Had the same thing happen to me. Do they happen to be sites that you had in ALN? I've gotten umpteen requests for link removal from sites that I solely had in ALN.

Who the fuck puts their clients sites in ALN anyways?

Nope, web directories mostly. And when I get a request to remove, it usually comes in a dozen emails, one for each they have found. :)

I am not sure if that was original google's plan, I think it was more to piss off a few who sell links and load their inboxes with angry seos and webmasters who have no idea what they are doing.

It's because they are using a service mentioned in this T&C thread.

http://www.wickedfire.com/traffic-c...cessfully-used-link-removal-service-here.html

It's a straight mad libs style email that gets sent out. They just insert their name, their site, and your site into a cookie cutter email and blast them out by the thousands.

This really needs to get some bad press. Google has traded what they call "web spam" which is legal and very hard to prove into "email spam" which is illegal and can actually be prosecuted.

Email spam does not effect there core business so they do not care.

I got 25 of these just this morning.

Hello,

My name is
XXXXX and I am the owner of XXXXX
.

We are currently in the process of cleaning up some link building that our previous SEO company had done and am contacting you regarding http:XXXXX

These pages have links to my site XXXXX
with keyword: XXXXX

Could you please remove these links for us? If we could we would try and log in and handle this ourselves but it seems the SEO company did not keep records of all the places that they had placed links and their usernames and passwords, so we're left sorting through and contacting everyone ourselves.

We really do appreciate your help.

Regards,
XXXXX

Simply not gonna happen. What's worse is that the services in the other thread are taking advantage of their clients because they do not guarantee that the links will be removed but rather just an attempt will be made. They know good and well that the links are not going to be taken down.

For only $97/mo you get 400 link delete requests. That means they send out 400 of these emails knowing that next to none of them will have any effect.

While I realize its a golden opportunity to bank it just seems wrong in so many ways.

Guys, we should be actually building a link removal service.

Here is how it works. You guys link to every mother fucker brand out there. Then lemme know which one you did. We can have upload batch file to have the data in the system

Pissed off Brand guy will come to us to help with the issue. We will just let you know to remove this.

The brokering is where the money is and every part is legally safe :-)

While this is true for the most emails and I ignored them for a while, some started sending DMCA violation requests to my hosting companies and that is a pain to deal with. If anybody familiar with it, is it even reasonable to argue with hosting trying to prove that there is no dmca violation, that it's just a fucking link? Or does DMCA cover links as well? Some state that their URL is a registered trademark or whatever and say that I link to it without permission of the owners. Just curios if I should start sending automated fuck off replies to those emails or not.
