Google launches fiberoptic internet - 1 gigabit



They're only expecting to have the first KC neighborhoods constructed by mid-2013 at the earliest, so it's probably going to be a bit before this gets anywhere that matters. Why couldn't they have started in Philly?

Dunno though I hardly stress my comcast useage anymore. If it were on par with cable I'd ditch my TV and go with it instead. I hate tv but need the cable internet.
 
I'm really impressed with their content offering... This is going to blow Time Warner off the map. Pushing out Nexus slates with these offers is a damn smart move too.
