So I had wordpress on a domain for a few months but didn't put much up. Google indexed the crappy crap on it.

I just fixed the site up and put content on it and I can see that the Google and Yahoo Bots both visited my site in the past two days. But, the results in the search engines still yield the crappy crap links and don't account for the new information/design/seo.

WTF?

Shed some light as to how this works please?

G - If your Pagerank is low they will not be inclined to change much or even update even if they have visited. Not sure why they visit so much if they arent going to update.

Yahoo not so sure.

Shit! Ive got the same thing going with my site which Im putting ALOT of work into locally but just havent updated it yet.. What should I do?

Ok, I think Im not indexed yet but I just searched for the url and so Im sure google will be making its way to my site. What can I do to block it?

PS - Seocracy. Send me your vitamins and minerals database. Please. :D

If you have a blog with no power you will only be found in the blogsearch when you get more power you get regular index..not always the case but more often than not

When I start a new (mfa)blog I just copy news and shit from good sites and post it to my own blog. Be sure you have
Code:
<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">
in your html from the beginning.

And exclude your whole domain in robots.txt so the crappy dupe content won't be indexed. Then try to gain links. This should be far easier because of your good looking content. After I have a bunch of good authority links I put up my own crappy-optimized-content-with-nice-kw-density and delete the nofollow,noindex and empty the robots.txt so G is welcome.
