Got an email today from a lady working for center for Medicare services under department of health.

She is asking me to physically mail her information about my product.

She didn't say she was from department of health, I just happened to see it from her email extension

Is this something I should be concern about? Anyone in the supplement field have similar experience and know what she/they might be looking for?

Thanks

She didn't really say much, just asked me to send more information to an address

Maybe I am just paranoid

Did she give you an address?

Was the address her house or "center for medicare services"? What state/city is it in?

What information did she ask for?

She didn't identify herself or have a signature?

Just send the same info you have on the website / the bottle.
If she wants / needs more details, have her come to you, not vice versa.

::emp::

Yeah, she gave me an address. It is an office building with room number. Dallas Texas.

She didn't say what information she was asking for, I have emailed her back asking her exactly what she wants and no she did not identify herself and there is no signature in the email. I just thought it was weird someone asking me to physically mail her some info then I saw her email extension ends in cms.hhs.gov

emp, I'll take your advice. Hopefully it is just me being paranoid.

Tell her to pay the shipping.

Tell her you've been in the game since 17 and you don't take kindly to threats.

Tell her you're hot as palestine right now.

That's weird. Seems like if it was serious you would have received a formal letter.

GMP certified manufacturer, cost per sale product with no forced rebill. Been in business for almost 2 years with 0 chargebacks.

I might have some "health claims" they may not like on my website, but other than that, I can't really find anything that might bring me trouble.

Also, I thought if anyone would go after the extreme health claim, it would be the FTC not department of health.

I guess I am just going to wait for her reply and see what's going on exactly.

Looked at differently, you may be on the verge of something great here- if someone is trying to submit medicare claims for your product or list them in a synopsis of products for approval, your market could get very large very fast...

But yeah, dot your I's and make sure you can support your claims, because it's probably more reasonable to assume they are gathering data for a potential prosecution.

Good luck bro

Hmmm....this could be true as well.

Maybe you should consult your lawyer? Just to be safe.

my thoughts as well

Not sure there's a lot to consult about tbh - I think all they'll tell you is to not be stupid and don't tell them anything you don't already say somewhere on your website or packaging.

Yea, maybe he should temporarily stop selling product, take the site down, and have it looked at to make sure all his claims can be backed up.

Wtf you mean there's not alot to consult with? He might be getting fucked in the ass by the health authority and/or the FTC shortly. This is exactly when you need to consult some legal help.

Hopefully everything is ok bro, but better to be safe than sorry.

Find out who she is before you start panicking. You have the email address, so you should have everything you need to find out what you want to know.
