Gravity - excellent movie

Meh. I liked it for the first half, then it just got too over the top and there were a bunch of logical problems I won't mention because they are spoilers. Impossible situation after impossible situation. I'm surprised she didn't have to fist fight an alien. Rush was better.

late to the party but i just saw it last night with my sister. quoted sums it up pretty perfectly. The working title should have been "worst day ever".

oh yea and sandra bullock -- the only actress more annoying than her:

my sister loved it tho

OK, I'm just going to ask:

To everyone staining their shorts over this movie, what exactly did you like about it? All I keep hearing is "Awesome! Great movie!" but I never hear any reasons why.

I mean, it can't be the story. You've got a lady bouncing around in space for 90 minutes without much clue as to what she's doing.

Any time someone can't give you a detailed and logical explanation of why something was/is good, it means they're probably wrong. Goes for most popular shit in my experience.

Anyway, I saw the movie. 3D is gimmicky as fuck but IMAX is good in my opinion, IMAX should be the standard way of viewing any movie really in my opinion for nothing other than the orientation of the viewer in relation to the screen - makes a world of difference.

Story sucked, but I think I enjoyed the over arching metaphor of letting go and George Clooney died so 2 thumbs up.

Its just visually incredible. More of an experience than a movie.

Don Jon was visually incredible.

Personally, I would have rather watched a documentary on the ISS in imax than this movie.
Steve is right, the movie is EPIC!

The only people I can see not liking this movie are peeps who like films like Transformers and Pacific Rim.

One of the best films I have seen in a very long time. Totally awesome!

The only people you can see not liking a completely effects-driven, visually stimulating movie with a lackluster plot are people who like two movies that are completely effects-driven with lackluster plots?

SPOILER ALERT

Seriously, were none of you surprised that she didn't have to fight off a shark or an alligator at the end? I was genuinely expecting more hoops she had to jump through. The most I got from the movie was Sandra Bullock should have never left the kitchen.

I wanted to go yesterday with friends but nobody was interested. I am going today hopefully.

How can anybody liked that movie?

15 minutes for George and the rest 65 whole minutes Sandra talk to herself.

Just plain boring.

I have different feelings about the movie, I loved the experience and then when I left the cinema I had plenty of thoughts about it.

Saw it in 3D tonight. Excellent movie, really enjoyed it. It ranks among the best of this year for me. One of best uses of 3D as well.
