Great place to automatically grab niches

I am scraping the front page of froogle.google.com, scraping overture for each keyword, if the top 5 add up to a certain amount I scrape those, save it all to a database and find the ones with a reasonable amount of searches, see what the bids look like for those and start making sites. it works well if you have a tough time pulling random niches out of your ass + I get a premade keyword list for those niches I do. I was scraping 7search keyword tool before but it makes you re-enter the captcha too much so I moved to overture...
 


Hmm, I tried froogle sometime ago, but for some reason I dropped it. Maybe I'll try again.. though I'm too addicted to kwc at the moment :(
 
I looked at KWC just now, what is the process you use to come up with niches? Finding keywords for them isnt what I'm using for froogle, just new niches to test.

The Froogle method is nice because I can just turn on my scraper and have a batch of niches with decent volume an hour later..
 
I really should put that PHP book I bought to good use...! It's been sat in my office for two months and I still haven't learnt it.

Ah well..

I really need to just stop sleeping so I can learn PHP. Almost every affiliate/arbitrage/blackhat guru knows a little PHP or at least outsources the work for his sites. It's possible to get by without knowing it, but automation is the difference between those making x,xxx/month and those making xx,xxx/month.
 
Yeah, I'm just the opposite. I can pull scripts out of my ass all day long basically but most of the time I never find good uses for them (or never put them to use). Yesterday I made a script to break captchas at PHPBB forums, and a high PR forum finder, but I'll probably never use them for anything worthwhile. I wish I could make a living out of making stupid scripts like these :D
 
Yeah, learn php or python and start making scrapers and bots! find something that makes $1 a day done manually, then make a script that makes it automatically.
 
If you can do it in your browser... 99% of the time you can automate it with php and curl. the only thing that throws a wrench in your spokes generally are captchas.
For those you can automate everything and just show a row of captchas to bust through.
And it can be used on 7search to post stuff. But.. with their amazingly streamlined interface I dont see why you would need to :)

I need to do this as well. It seems like every say im saying to myself 'if I only knew PHP...'. Ive taken some courses here Learning @ Your Own Pace® - lynda.com and
Im going to take their PHP course. I find learning through videos much easier as I can;t seem to remember anything I read in a book.
