It was the same last time round when that bloke went on about end of the world this that and the other, managed to convince thousands of it and when it didn't happen he turned around and said "oh... might have got it wrong.. sorry!" and that was it!
People creamed it in then, things like getting believers to subscribe to a service to look after their pets when they die / go to the big man in the sky. All that sort of shit. Seriously! I can't recall them all but some of the scams were brilliantly creative, but some were just so ridiculous it was untrue. Fucking idiots that bought into them, but then we're talking about a target audience of people who seriously think the world will end just because someone else said it would!
(A bit like half the shit I hear about SEO in all fairness.)
However, best we don't complain - after all, those people are bread & butter for quite a few here.
