I forget what this is called but when the writers write the script for the show they put in a placemarker for technical jargon and a technical writer later inserts in the jibberish. Star Trek did it all the time and gene roddenberry talked about it in an interview saying how serious they took that role and spared no expense to make sure their technical jargon inserts were as perfect as possible. Apparently for this show someone lied on their resume
