Hacking into ppls Facebook/Twitter/Etc at local coffeeshop

Yeah I tried this on my home network that's WEP and it only got 1 cookie (gmail/google) from the computer I was running it on so I'm guessing anything password protected won't work.
Interesting, you may want to use Cain & Abel in that case.

I'm messing with it now, over my network at home. I took off security temporarily to see what it would do. Not getting anything yet. What adapter do you guys have it set to in options?

You guys need to monetize this. Of course there are all the obvious online tactics you could use. But what about hitting local media outlets? In smaller markets half the news is just filler bullshit that they need to use to fill up the time slot. Call the local news station, tell them that it is super easy to steal peoples Facebook etc. Tell them you are willing to take a reporter with you to show them at Starbucks or whatever, so they can get the word out to their viewers about this security risk. Setup an "informational site" where you tell people about the risk, monetize through security software sales, adsense whatever. End of the segment make sure the reporter says "And you can go to mysecuritysite.com to learn more about how you can stop this from happening to you".

You could even sell security consultation / home network security services if you were so inclined. Take the video that they produce to give yourself some legitimacy and push that shit like crazy through the video channels online. If your lucky, might get a little virality. People are idiots, but if they see some dude easily stealing their Facebook shit in a video, they will put that crap on their wall all day long "OMG OH NOES, PRIVACY". Just a thought. Hope someone runs with it.

The adapter that you're using to connect to your wireless connection should be fine. If you're not getting anything, it's probably because A.) You don't have WinPcap installed or B.) No one has connected to your wireless network yet. If you have a Netgear router, check out "Attached Devices" under your Maintenance menu. If you haven't installed WinPcap before, you'll need to reboot to get the extension to work.
