I typically get drunk once a week, but I am looking for a way to avoid having a shitty next day. I don't puke or anything (too old to be getting that hammered anymore), but I still drink enough that I just feel shitty all over.

Does anyone have experience with supplements/pills that you take on the night of drinking to avoid a hangover? Every now and then I'll see something like this being advertised, but I always wondered whether or not it actually works.

If such a product exists, then I'd be happy to try it out. Looking for firsthand experiences only please.

It's full of a shit ton of vitamins. If I know I'm going to be consuming a hangover quantity of alcohol I take one before I start and one when I'm wrapping things up. Drink enough water/gatorade throughout the night and you'll be golden....or close to it.

Multi + b complex + tons of water + food. In the morning maybe a 0.5g paracetamol pill for your headache.

A few months ago I found these hangover pills called PartySmart, work like a charm for me. Tried some others will limited success but these are surprisingly very effective. You can find them for $3-5 a pill at GNC and other supplement stores, usually by the counter. A lot cheaper (50c per pill) to order in bulk on eBay from India however. This is where I bought mine.

Cut back on the sugar when drinking. Drink a glass of water at night. In the morning coffee and a cheesey omelet with bacon or sausage - or othe food with lots of fat/protein. Other than that, man up.

I drink a lot of water when I'm drinking beer, probably about two litres through the night. The next day I feel great.

Don't really drink much at all anymore, but these were tried and true hangover remedies back in the day (healthy too):

A little Hangover music wouldn't hurt either

Stop buying cheap alcohol,

all kidding aside, I pound Gatorade just incase..

Water. Maybe some food. That's about it.

Airborne, vitamins, basically all bullshit if you drink too much.

As an expert in drinking I know two overlooked tips.

Piclewater, I shit you not. It's amazing. On top of that a cold shower.

But I rather prevent having one by eating lot of greesy food when out drinking and just pouring in gallons of water before going to sleep.
