Ive got 2000+ Square foot of open space available in the basement of one of my commercial development properties. I am willing to build to suit, and was wondering if you genius' had any ideas as to what I could do with it...

There is no frontage, and can only be accessed by a freight elevator / secured side door.

I was leaning towards making it a data center, but I know diddly squat about that business, and im fresh out of ideas for what to do with it???

Ive tried renting it, but due to the lack of access, it hasnt seen much interest.

Help me out here guys...

Are you sure it's secure? If this is true it opens up a world of possibilities. Are you ok with living in the "grey"?

Umm.. obviously:

Im SURE that its secure, and ive definitely thought of the above mentioned ideas. I do have spaces rented out to people who practice "questionable" business, but I dont ask and they dont tell...

Not really looking to break bad in the place, im not and do not know anyone who could be a WW. Though It would be perfect for a "lab" of some sort.

Maybe I could make it a drycleaning outfit, or biodiesel manufacturing spot...Dunno if I could sell the fuel or not however...

For a data center you would need to seriously consider disasters such as flooding and retarded shit like that to determine if it's even feasible. Also do you have large venting for exhausting the warm air from the servers?

Also what type of connection can you obtain there, can you get really really good backbones so the latency is low?

If you like BitCoins you could build a bit coin farm (LukeP will love this idea).

If the freight elevator fits cars, you could consider storing high end cars down there, climatize the room and you could charge quite a bit for the space.

Space will not flood, I am willing to invest the money to install the heat extractors...Ive already got overkill cooling down there, and its subterranean, so thats a plus for consistent climate.

There are people looking for storage space all the time... especially for "unconventional" things...

In 1997 a man in Iceland, named Sigurdur Hjartarson, decided to open a Museum to show the world his eccentric collection: 143 penises from 41 mamals. He's still waiting for a final donation to complete his collection, a human one.

I wonder if he was inspired by being Dick Rolled? One can only assume so.
