Just checked out the pilot episode, and it looks like a promising series. I was surprised at the line-up of actors they have for it. I will admit there were so many characters in the show it was kind of difficult to get a grasp everything that was going on. I'm sure it will become easier to follow after I get an idea of each character, and learn more about horse racing, lol. Nonetheless I will be watching this.

Glad I wasn't the only one who couldn't follow everything well. Something about the show and dialog made it hard for me to figure out what the fuck was going on half the time.

I'm not sure if it was my fault or the subject of the show (horse racing) or if the writers just started talking about a ton of shit w/out giving the viewer enough background information to know what the fuck the characters were talking about.

I checked out the pilot episode too...

I'm not going to lie - I was a little disappointed. I was waiting for something big to happen to set the tone for the rest of the series, but it never came. The cast looks good, the premise looks interesting, but I think the execution was pretty poor.

At the end, I was like, "Ok...cool story?"

Just my opinion

Yeah I think most of the show was trying to set things up for some epic drama later on. Watch the second episode though, shit starts to really pick up.

Yep you guys aren't alone, I watched first two episodes and while I have a better idea of what's going on now, I finished watching the first one was like wtf is this shit. So far the acting is great, story needs to pick up, dustin hoffman is great and that small group of gamblers is interesting. Second one was definitely better than the first. Also there is a ton of horse racing lingo which kind of makes some conversions hard to follow.

I've watched two episodes of this and have no idea what's going on... all I've learned is that to buy a horse you have to play yatzee with a fat guy.

NICe sig dude, and welcome to wickedfire.

i feel the same way, i am into episode ***FIVE*** and have no clue what is going on but want to continue. gambling is one of the few illegal sectors i am unfamiliar with so the show attracts me. plus dustin hoffman is oh so sexy.

So a horse dies in a accident and hbo buckles to fricken PETA. Time to cancel my hbo sub. And I never even heard of the show. Bunch of pussies
