I just signed up here, so hi :)

Has anyone seen the recent spate of $7 reports that are flying around?

If not, they're basically a low end, short ebook that is offered with 100%
affiliate commissions so the buyer can earn their money back straight
away, while the author grows a nice big list of spenders.

Has anyone taken up these offers and had much success? Does it even
count as an affiliate commission, since essentially you're a reseller?

Yes you basically become a reseller because your Paypal account is used to sell the 7 dollar secret system.

Go back from where you came from.

Hmmm, this sounds familiar...

Do you buy 5 reports, each one from a different person, then resell 5 copies of each.. . and before you know it, a brazillion people have mailed you $1 each????

More seriously, how is this any different at all from buying an ebook with resale rights and just reselling it? Oh, I see, it isn't.

I don't think it is actually MLM... looking at the page, I think it's just a regular ebook with resale rights. They've just priced it low with the strategy that a low price==more sales, and it's one of these "here is how I made $$$ selling shit - you can copy me and sell this book instead".

It's just a damn ebook, read the archives here and learn the same shit.

ah well ok.. i didn't really read the landing page hehe

"I think it's just a regular ebook with resale rights."

Wrong. It's a short ebook but the script that comes with it is what makes it interesting.

Ha ha, thanks for the WF welcome. I wouldn't have expected any less :)

It's not MLM.. mostly. You buy the product, and then become a reseller.
The original author gets none of the money from your resales, but he does
get to add all your customers to his email list.

So I suppose in that sense, it is a bit pyramidy/multi-levelly.

waz67 - that's the point. It's not any different from buying a resell item
and reselling it. So why is it causing such fuss over at places you love so
much like DP? :)

I think it's all down to the framing of the offer. I reckon combining the "$7"
style with PPL would produce a PPL model without the risk, or without the
initial cost (like the Death Of AdSense.. must have cost $50K at least).

hi willb,

if you are the willb i bought that 15k script from, i just want to let you know that i respect you and your work but you have picked the wrong place to bring up something like those crap internet marketing offers ;)

i am pretty much a noob when it comes to arbitrage and affiliate marketing but i am glad i found this place where this business is discussed seriously and not based on offers or models like thone you are proposing right here and now.

i am just saying this as a hint because i kind of learned that this kind of warrior forum business is not appreciated here and i am glad it isn't as i do see it as a big scam machine myself from today's perspective.

as said, i respect your good programming work and you shuld keep that up and bring it forward but in a different direction.

The script is a list building tool. If you want to get ahead in affiliate marketing an email list grown by others for free might come in handy don't you think?

Not to mention you'll be growing an email list of proven buyers, the very best kind for free.So if you consider the ways it could benefit your affiliate biz you might agree that the ebook and script for a measily $7 is a bargain.

sorry, but we are talking about two things while using the same term.

when i speak about affiliate marketing i am not talking about internet marketing ebook schemes and building opt-in-lists.

for me, affiliate marketing is about doing real business by trading real goods and services. what you are referring to is doing business in the grey market of get-rich-quick schemes and pseudo-internet-business-models.

i have experienced, that this grey market surely has a huge turnover rate and that a lot of money is to be made in this market, but it is not a market i would ever like to get engaged in. i once thought, that this is the way to do business on the internet but i learned better.

for me, following up on these business proposals is very much a one-way trip. you will not really improve yourself or your marketing knowledge and techniques as you are stuck in a viscious circle. sooner or later most of these guys end up in promoting mlm schemes.

if you do real affiliate marketing however, chances are high that you come across the one or othe business that you can not only be successful in on the internet but in "real" life as well. be it as an importer, opening a franchise etc etc pp.

try to sell those $7 ebooks at the street corner though or open a shop selling them and you will just go bankrupt.

and that is whats the problem with this so-called "internet marketing products". they are shallow, meaningless and worseless ;)

No we are talking about the same thing. It doesn't matter what you sell, the ability to generate leads is key. Ask the cpa networks about it.
