Hey guys,

first off, I want to thank everyone in this forum who views posts, even newbie posts=p, and responds so kindly. thanks!

nextly, i come with a wordpress question. i recently downloaded a nichemarketing theme and have installed it. However, it seemed to get rid of a few things that I wanted. For instance, it got rid of the search tool on the sidebar(which with a little experimentation i was able to get back) and also took away the comments feature.

I was wondering if someone could help me on a couple things. Can someone help me get back the comment feature? Also how do I position where i want thing sot be on the side bar? Lastly there is a top bar? a bar that says "about" and i want to add links such as "home" and "archives" can anyone help me?

my site sucks but it's here

*hides face so that he can't see the people that laugh at him:crap:

any and all other help is also strongly appreciated

Your site isn't loading at present, so it's a bit hard to see the problem with the comments. It's likely that there isn't a comments section in the template you chose. You could easily piece this back in from another template, which is probably how you got your search bar back as well (although the comments will be slightly more difficult)

You can add links to "home" and "archives" by editing the php file responsible for dishing out your header. (Very likely header.php, but who knows?) Home will be a traditional html link back to the main page. The about page probably links to a static post in your blog. And I'm pretty sure there's a way to tie into the WP archives functionality by linking to a certain page, but you'd best look at another template just to be sure.

If you're feeling up to it, reading some of the docs found at wordpress.org would be a pretty good idea.

I haven't exactly figured out everything yet, but I have another question already. Maybe I will find out the answer myself by readin up at wordpress.org, but I thought I would post my question in case someone could help me. My blog is set up so that people see a small portion of the article and they click "continue reading" to read more about the topic. however, on my homepage, where it shows all the small portions of articles, the words and pictures seem to all be formatting themselves. some words look bolded, but when I click "continue reading" they actually aren't bolded(i don't want them bolded). and there is a picture that i want to be placed under a certain line of words but instead it is placed above the line of words on the homepage(not in the "continue reading" page). does anyone know a fix for this? or maybe im just going crazy?

It would be useful for some guys to post info/links about basic SEO on WP blogs; especially considering WP seems to be the de facto standard now. (I’m fluent with MovabeType and only have minimal knowledge of the workings of WP.)

So, share your knowledge you WP experts!

Hey sorry for so many questions and I hope if you know how to help me, please help me. But i have yet another question, if I want to be Amazon's affiliate, how do I go about doing so? thanks...this might be kind of in the wrong situation, but please help me out.

Edit,...sorry I should have research better...much better=P I was able to become an affiliate or "associate" by simply going on Amazon. I thought i would have to go through CJ.com or somewhere else. sorry for this dumb question.

PS. From the Optiniche Site:

ok thanks for the tip and the optiniche guide thingy

Hey guys,...well,I still have a lot of my old problems...like with my "home page" and everything i mentioned in my previous posts, (except i have been able to get "home" on my header) anyways, I have a more urgent question

My more urgent questions is how do I keep one of my posts on the top of a page? For instance, If i want to keep the welcome post on the top so that the first thing people see is the welcome post(and possibly with different regulations that other posts such as no "continue reading" thing)

I know I can just use <p> </p>, but what if I want to do it to a couple posts? Hopefully you guys understand my question and will respond soon.

juniodude, that's actually my theme, so feel free to IM me with questions, I can probably help you out.
