Yo, I work on the site in my sig... and I've been working on it for a bit now... Anyways, some of the pages get indexed and then the next day they are gone, it's rly annoying... Any ideas why this might be happening?

Thanks in advance..

Put some relevant content up above the products for sale. No offense, but who the hell buys tapes? That's the impression I get when I first see the site.

I'd click out in a heartbeat.

Not trying to be rude, just brutally honest.

Alright dweebs...

I get it that none of you use tapes but most people who have a website with a sizable database use tapes, more common users are companies that wish to maintain databases of sales, purchases, yada yada... Tapes not only have really high capacities... exceeding 1 terabyte for a single cartridge... some of the more recent ones have higher transfer rates than most hard-disk drives...
If you use autoloaders, you can get many terabytes of storage space... It's not too expensive either... Now that you pricks know what tapes are... could we get back to the original question...

Not trying to be rude...

Actually, it's a legit question. Who exactly are you selling to? It sounds like you have a very specific market, and the site should be built for them entirely, but it's hard to give suggestions without knowing who they are. So who are they?

Legit question

Alright I'll give you that... We get all sorts of customers ranging from people in the middle east to the caribbean, in America, and South east asia... Most of these are companies... like Internet services providers... some are universities... we even got a customer from some naval research laboratory... people who need to backup...
Even individuals use tapes...
But it is irrelevant, the issue is not the design of the site... you can check out my competitors like superwarehouse.com, tapeandmedia.com, supermediastore.com, tigerdirect, babadirect.com, backuptapes.net... and so on.

We're not idiots, we designed the site with our customers in mind... now does anybody have an answer to my original question?

Thanks

many companies still tape for backup. what is your competition and what terms are they getting found under?

Hmm...

You are being de-indexed by who? Google?
Are you sure it is not just a googledance problem?
(i.e. different datacenters - different indexes)

- Other issues:
I would also recommend putting relevant content "Technical description" on the top of the site.

You might also try adding some articles / howtos to the site. Be different from your competition.
- What is a tape backup?
- Why do I need a tape backup?
- How expensive is the tape backup solution?
- Excel sheet to track backups made...
etc.. pp..

Maybe try to give more meaningful link titles in your sitemap as well.
Sorry, but "17204" doesn't do it for me, and neither will it do for a SE.

Theives... I tell you theives...while you're giving it up like the school whore on prom night, why don't you throw out your keyword list? :Yahoo_29:

Yeah...

OK, thanks for the suggestions to whomever it was...appreciate it but fyi if you didn't already notice google's indexing all the pages and there is not much of a supplementary issue anymore...

Anyways I'll try to do the how-tos and price comparison although it won't be original but it seems like a nice idea...

I know about the 11719 or whatever crap and i name them so cause the people who actually wanna buy something will more likely type in the product code than randomly searching for stuff on sites...hence the answer...also to the last guy...these aren't exactly secrets that you have kept close to your breast you entire life that will get and cause a commotion...nearly everyone who knows anything about seo knows about it and if he/she doesn't then these people are seriously lazy dumb bitches...

Anyways thanks all...somewhat anyways...WF rules and its moderators drool! Later...

I humbly beg your pardon

Damn, you're awful immature and aggressive for someone asking for help. Get over yourself, show a little humility and drop the 'tude.
Mind you, looking at the responses I got...But what you said is true, I was asking for help, hence I should be humble...No more shall be said of this I hope...
And dude, chill out, it wasn't like I was targeting 'you' specifically...just in a general sort of way...:D

Hope you can take a joke...And you know I did know the stuff most people posted in reply to my question (which btw everyone completely ignored) and I was humble as pie when I asked for help..hence the name of the topic)
:anon.sml:
PS: Chill out...
PPS: Seriously...
