So i have campaign that is running well on the content network. Its not making a profit yet but the numbers look promising. Right now I have the cost per click at $0.55. I need $0.50 to be breaking even and would like to get down to $0.30 to be making a nice profit eventually.

As the campaign is only on the content network its difficult to see the effects of lowering the bids. I really want to avoid losing impressions because I'm getting loads right now and doing nice numbers.

How do you guys go about lowering your bids. Everything I have read says that it is a mistake to lower the bids too quickly. But how long should I keep my bids where they are and what should I do about lowering them. Is lowering 0.01 per day a good rate or is that too quick/too slow? And when do you reckon i should stop lowering? Being on the content network things take longer to happen and this time round I want to avoid losing all my impressions never to be seen again (as has happened in the past) THanks...

Even though your ass should be on dp for asking such a question I'm going to steer you in the right way. Build up some stats and click through rate first for at least two weeks then start lowering by 5% a day.
