Herman Cain wins Tea Party straw poll

Herman Cain wins Tea Party straw poll « Cubachi

Hey look a black man who actually has some skill other than being a "community organizer" and knows what it's like to run a company.

Only thing is that now the republicans are going to look like retards for running a black man against Obama in 2012 because of how obvious it is what they are doing. Not that Cain isn't a good man for the job but the stupid fuck republicans should have found a good black man BEFORE the dems, not after.

Now they just look like asshats going "Oh look we like black people too!".

Oh well, best of luck to Cain. I love when he fills in on Boortz, dude is legit.

Of note, Ron Paul won the online poll, and placed 3rd in person - beating out Sarah Palin even in the live polling.

I still say having business experience doesn't mean you can run the country or a government - Romney was pure shit in MA. On top of that, Herman Cain was a Federal Reserve chairman, and that scares the living shit out of me. I don't want a former Fed chairman for President. Talk about being in the pocket of the Banks

Well Ron Paul aint winning so you can throw that out the window. Palin is a dipshit she def. isn't winning. I don't know who's gonna run but I doubt there will be a large assortment of quality candidates and everyone will end up voting, like usual, for the less of two evils and/or down party lines.

Federal Reserve Chairman as President.

Andrew Jackson is spinning in his grave.

lol at voters.

They cast their votes for people who sell them out.

:angryfire:

And he looks like the best choice among those Republicans running right now.

Seriously, we have got to get some better candidates. Too bad all the people with great business-sense and that care about turning this country around are too busy making money and living life to care about putting it on hold, and the other decent-minded people are too busy working to feed their families.

For those of you who vote, this is worth thinking about:

From "On Underwriting An Evil" by Frank Chodorov

I voted for Teddy Roosevelt in 1912. I haven't voted in a presidential election since.

---

If I were to vote for the "lesser of two evils" I would in fact be subscribing to whatever that "evil" does in office. He could claim a mandate for his official acts, a sort of blank check, with my signature, into which he could enter his performances. My vote is indeed a moral sanction, upon which the official depends for support of his acts, and without which he would feel rather naked.

In a democracy the acquiescence of the citizenry is necessary for the operation of the State, and a large vote is a prelude for such acquiescence. Even in a totalitarian state the dictators feel it necessary to hold elections once in a while, just to assure themselves and others of the validity of their rule; though the voting is compulsory and the ballot is one-sided, they can point to the large percentage of the electorate who underwrite their rule. In a free election, even though the difference between the candidates is a matter of personality, or between Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the successful candidate (though he might be the "lesser of two evils") can similarly maintain that he holds a mandate from the people. It is to the credit of a democracy that I can choose not to vote. I am not compelled to give my moral support to an evil.

You may disagree. But at least consider it before casting your vote for another would-be state thug.

Jindal: Any guy that started cutting his teeth running a mail order software company and computer newsletters is okay in my book!

Fiscal conservative, plays nice with both sides of the isle while still keeping his conservative convictions. His response to Hurricane Gustav was 1a and his leadership during the oil spill, in my eyes, was top as well. When a state like Louisiana gives you an approval rate of 77% you are doing something right.

Dude is EXTREMELY intelligent and has the street smarts to go with it. Common sense kind of guy.

Christie: Really a bit early for him but so far 'appears' to be straight forward and call it how he sees it. Fiscal conservative getting everyone in a uproar by cutting budgets but someway has found a way to have the union's starting to support him. (Say what?!)

Prosecuted both Republicans and Democrats as AG and has some mob ties. (It's New Jersey after all). Don't like his anti-gun stance. Both support school vouchers which I like. I should be able to take my kids to a school of my choice if it offers better education.

Both call it like it is. Jindal is HIGHLY intelligent and would be the brain while Christie would be the bully calling folks out.

Honestly, I just threw it out there, cause I like both of them for lots of different reasons. (Yes, there are things I don't like about them too)

Thanks, Gertex. I know nothing about Jindal, and only a little more about Christie. The latter seems cut from a different cloth, but I remain suspicious.

None of this matters because the Republican party is part of the system, and they have no interest in rocking the boat. A mainstream candidate like Romney will be their candidate regardless of any straw polls or online activity. Th only way the tea party movement can make any headway is to align themselves with the libertarians which is where they belong anyway.

Unless we elect someone with a track record for standing their ground against spending, someone that isn't afraid to be blasted in the media - Gary Johnson or Ron Paul come to mind - then we are screwed. A Ronald Regan style candidate will not cut it this time. We have gov't programs that are set to consume 100% of the total current spending in just a decade or so. The shit will hit the fan as soon as that becomes apparent and inevitable, hyperinflation, bankrupty, worldwide food shortages, and a depression so deep we'll rename The Great Depression to something like The Pretty Bad Depression.

This is the kind of stuff I like about Christie:
--
When Democrats threatened Christie with a government shutdown if he vetoed an income-tax hike they favored, Christie said, he told them: “Take a look at me, you think I’m sleeping on a cot?”

“If you want to shut down the government, that’s fine,” Christie reportedly told Democratic leaders in the legislature. “I’m gonna get in those black SUVs, go to the governor’s residence, go upstairs, open a beer, order a pizza, and watch the Mets.” Christie’s hard-line tactics worked, and the state’s budget — sans the tax hike — was passed two days early.
--
He also told Republicans to lay of Michelle Obama for her 'eat right' campaign going against the grain.

Do some reading up on Jindal, my guess is that you'll like what you read.

I forgot about Jindal. He's one of those rare politicians that I respect too. Course he's still sort of under the radar. Give him time and he'll probably crap all over that respect just like Cain did.
