He is - THE CACTUS!
Ok, so in a fit of game rage last night, I crushed my mouse.

Lesson #1, Chic brand is cheap for a reason.
Lesson #2, shards of plastic that naturally serrate are really painful to pick out of your palm

Anyway, I need a new mouse. Currently, I'm using the pathetic retractable one for my laptop, and my tablet.

Anyone got a suggestion for a good 5 button mouse, or other input device for both pointing and clicking, and maybe reassigning 3 keys to do useful things?
I'm thinking of spending maybe $40US

Damn... I had a boss like that once.
Pretty laid back guy, but in our networked game sessions, the guy would EXPLODE in fits of rage. Screaming, Yelling, beating the shit out of equipment if he would loose so much as one unit (in strategy) or a life (in shooters)

He killed a few mice, a few keyboards and a monitor that way.
Almost gave me a heart attack in my mid-20s. So in the end, we only played cooperative games.

I never understood this kind of reaction.

Well, normally, I'm not like that at all.
I'd been playing C&C and hadn't saved, spent maybe two hours on this level, and BAM! another program pops up (a hacker I know being a schmuck and breaking through my defences).
I get back in, every thing's ruined!

Now, as I say, normally I don't get like that. For me, gaming is a real treat because I don't have that much spare time, so to have it all go up in smoke is kinda like getting a really good massage, only to have the hot Swedish chick turn out to be a transsexual that suddenly fists you in the last two minutes.

haha, i could totally relate when i was gaming back in the day...i'd smash my mouse on the table and be like "..wtf, i dodged that shit..how'd i die..!?...."

I ended up getting the Fatality Gaming mouse
(specs listed)

cool thing about the mouse, it has a weighted system. comes with 3 weights that you can interchange.

so if you like playing first person shooters and you like sniping...you'd use the heaviest weight so your movements are slower and percise....

i used to play first person shooters on the heaviest weight....and then once i got warmed up and started feeling my groove...i'd switch to the lightest weight and i felt i had faster reaction times..... sorta like when you're running with leg weights and you take them off, you feel like you could run faster.

Nickycakes: Brand / Manufacturer name?

The Logitech MX Revolution is probably the most comfortable mouse I've ever held. The MX 3200 I recommended above is probably second to that, I didn't suggest the MX Revolution off the bat because of the price. I think its around $100 for the mouse alone.
