I don't know about any of you but I'm pretty excited that it's almost that time of year when it gets cold enough that there will be snow on the mountains here in So-Cal. Anyone else an avid ski or boarder?

I have high hopes for a great season this winter. I'm in good health, I don't have any time consuming obligations and make my own hours so I have a mid-week pass and plan on staying away on weekends.

A couple of mates have just started a transfers biz in the alps, and offered me free accommodation. So hell yes I'll be there.

Yah I can't wait, but I'll be snowboarding REAL snow up @ Tahoe ;) (my second home)

Mike I usually ski about 40-50 days a year up in Tahoe. Just let me know when you want to go I have a pass at Squaw. I love the steeps!

About a 3 hour flight in my plane I can just pick you up on the way and have a nice house on the water in Tahoe :D

Got your own plane? Are we talking a prop job or a jet or a rental? (curious minds want to know.. we talking like a Gordon Gekko jet with the fuck-me waitress on board? lol)

That sounds amazing I love Tahoe instead of Big Bear! I spent sometime in Colorado last year and it was great. I want to make it down to South America some summer soon.

Can't wait for Tahoe to get some snow now, Bear just opened but not many runs yet of course.

I've been over the local mountains here in so cal. Too many douche bags and just too fucking crowded. Hoping to make a couple trips up to Mammoth, but my wife's due with our first kid here in the next few weeks, so that could put a damper on any road trips.

I will bet out in SLC for the month of january and then a couple random weekends after that. getting a pass to the canyons but planning to spring to try others as well. Might drive up to big sky or jackson too just to try them.

also we should do a wf summer ski trip to chile or NZ. I would be so down.

Tahoe ftw! Reminds me, time to get some new gear. Grew out of my boots at least.

Not in So-Cal but do my skiing in WA state at my 2 favorite resorts -- Crystal Mtn and Alpental.

Last season was incredible up here. Warren Miller filmed some good stuff for his latest movie "Dynasty" up at Crystal.

Same here. I've been riding on my Burton Custom (2006 model), but I'm thinking this year to go with a Custom X, new binding, and new boots. My board now is a 158, but I'm thinking of cutting down to a 156 :)

Fuck do I miss skiing. I went to freestyle ski camps at both Mt. Hood and Whistler over the summers quite a few years ago. Whistler is absolutely amazing. I grew up right next to a small ski hill in WI and would be out there almost every day. By age 13 I was pulling backflips, backflip 360's, misty flips, 1080's and the works. Then for some fuckin' reason I stopped skiing. 23 y.o. now and haven't been on a ski hill for over 6 years but I still have my pair of Salomon 1080's sitting in my closet, god damn would I love to hit up the hills with you guys.

Broski, make the quick hop to VA and I'm in!

I can't wait either! That reminds me, I should be out running to get into shape. I mainly ski Colorado though but my aunt does have a house near Tahoe that I haven't visited yet.
