My conversions stopped so I checked my site.. no load. Checked Hostgator.com.. no load there either.

Pause your campaigns if you're on hostgator.

While on the subject, any recommendations for more reliable hosting?
 


hostgator loads fine for me...

the sites I have hosted there are loading fine too...

usually the first thing I do when I suspect downtime is try a proxy to make sure it's not on my end...

hostgator blows. Check my thread in the affiliate marketing section re ded hosting. Just started it today- I use HG and a few other shareds....they suck.
Dedicated is the only way..if youre serious

some of us have both dedicated boxes and several virtual/shared hosting accounts to play with...

they both have their uses...
 
Why does everyone here bitch about hostgator so much? I run dedicated as well, but I have been a happy customer at HG for over a year. They've got over $250 of bills from me and I haven't had any issues. I wonder if I'm on a better server because of my tenure there...

I've been wondered the same thing... I've had a hostgator account since 2006 and for the price I've paid I've got no complaints... anything really important or resource intensive goes on my dedicated anyways...

I think it's just tards that try to use their cheap shared hosting account like a dedicated... and then bitch about it when they break something...
 
I've actually had exceptional support. I usually mention in the first ticket that Ive been there for so long.

do you really think all of hostgator runs on 1 server?
 
never had a problem with hostgator except that they actually follow up on the DCMA complaints people send against my sites.

Oh and my sites with them didn't go down, don't scare me like that
