HostGator fails at hiding "secret link"...Idiocy or clever?

its just a marketing gimmick that works. Hosts have been doing that shit for 5 years that I know of. Catch up.

Their standard free account will give you a max upload filesize of 2mb so basically pointless. If you go to upgrade and then close the window you'll get a pop up chat offering a 50% discount, repeat several times till you get 70% off.

You have to pay extra for versioning so if you want that check out some of the other providers. Also once uploaded viewing your filetree is a pain in the ass. Have to click individual folders down the subtree which is slow and shit. Should have implemented something like the cpanel file explorer.

I've been with them a few weeks now and seems ok so far. Wouldn't pay full price but for a few $$ month it gives me some piece of mind.

...on their JustCloud.com homepage.

Scroll to footer.

Can't decide if some nitwit forgot to hide the link or it was deliberately left there.

Also, if you're a hostgator customer, there's this free account.

But I'm not so sure it's different from the free trial on their home page.

Anyone using this service? Any feedback? I'm fairly happy with my hostgator dedicated servers (never used their VPS or really any other products) so I'm tempted.

You're an idiot if you really think that it is some sort of slip up, It's a Marketing 101 tactic.
