Has anyone else noticed the level of customer service has dropped dramatically?

Now they're pretty much like Godaddy minus the massive support staff.
 


I haven't had any issues with their servers, so I haven't had to contact them recently, except that I wanted to add too many servers per month, so I holla'd at them and they lifted my limit. It was real easy and efficient and they got it done. Don't know what to tell you mang. My experience. I've had them on chat, email, and phone many times, no problem at all.
 
I have multiple VPS's with Hostgator and fucking love their customer support. I always reach an articulate English speaking, knowledgeable tech who isn't an Indian calling himself "Biff, Chip or Dwight"... AND I FIND THAT SO REFRESHING!

They are always very professional with me and go the extra mile. Even when I have my "fucktard" moments on administering a server at the root level... usually about three times a week.

+1 for HostGator!
 
Why would you trust your livelihood with a two-bit company that offers services at the cheapest possible prices? You know you're going to get shitted on. How else do you think they're capable of offering those prices?
 
Been using them for years on tier 2 sites and never had a problem. Also like that support was available by chat immediately.

But I would not expect top level support for the low price they are offering.

Have had multiple accounts from shared to vps to dedi totaling >10 years worth of hosting. Can't remember a problem from support at all ... and I'm the kind of guy who pings about my whm password (semi) frequently.

I did get double billed for a while but they made up for it in full.

They're good in my book.

Couple years ago they forgot to bill me for like 6 months. Never had a problem with them. On the rare occasion i need Support its second to none.
 
Well, their service for dedicated servers and SSL has been absolute shit today.

I've been with them in one capacity or another for almost eight years, but today's service was the worst ever. I've lost nine hours of money because of their bullshit.
 
the profiteered from the IM bubble, now a lot of webmasters will be dropping their affiliate sites by the wayside and hostgator's profits are going to diminish a little

You must be cray! I've used 15+ hosting companies, and ALL of them should bow before Hostgator. They don't even remotely have the cheapest possible prices. You should see some of the crap that's out there. $3 for a year kind of junk.

I tell people how many servers I have with Hostgator, and they all say "Geez, I can't imagine spending $10 a pop for those... I'll have to go with the cheaper guys."
 
I personally would suck a gator cock at the level of gayness I have for that host gator. I beat the ever living shit out of my websites with links and they seem to have no problems with my accounts.
