How a 21 year old Made $2.5 Million Online and Blew it all in a Year

Hummmm, why am I not surprised about a 21 year old blowing money down the drain........... ummmm......................... maybe because I am one too

the guy misleads with his numbers. saying he earned 2+ million and blew it all. because for starters he had 450k in taxes, he owed his partner some money, he paid 20k in attorney fees to sell his websites, etc. that is not money blown and shouldn't even be counted in his earnings either. basically he profited about 1 million and blew that, which is still enough for him to be considered an idiot.

I remember when you listed MyspaceSupport.com on the Sitepoint marketplace (before Flippa) and right at that time it really started taking off. I was just trying to get into the "myspace layout" craze myself but I was just a SEO newbie back then so I could never break that oh so coveted top 10 listing in Google (I even purchased links on your website)

What do you attribute your main SEO success to back then? Blog commenting, swapping links, Myspace profile links, etc?

Yup, that was me, I had it listed for a measily 5k, haha.

Anyways, from the whoring and bulletins, I started receiving backlinks like crazy, hundreds of thousands of backlinks, and since I was one of the first MySpace sites, I had authority with Google. One of the older myspace domains.

Made roughly 2.1-2.3, never added up the CPM earnings because I don't have account access anymore, so I only was able to add up Yahoo + Google.

Taxes = 500k

2.2 - 5k = 1.7mill

I ended up going negative, aka in debt. personal loans, credit cards, business loans, irs, etc... spent more than i made.

Lousy on my part, but I ended up saving my house, and paying off a huge portion of my debts. after paying my debts, I was able to raise 145k from investors by writing a business plan myself, and just hired an editor to fix it up for me.

Here I am now...

Props on the success sucks that you blew it all :D

Anyway you got any tips on writing up business plans to get investors.

Andrew, im not sure if people have emphasised this enough to you, but you seriously BLEWing it on SEO is fucking hilarious. I was reading your story feeling bad for you, because i thought you knew your game but was just, well, young and stupid, but then i read about you failing SEO and i got angry.

For fuck sake, what were you thinking? You failed the most basic things in this business and it's fucking sad. I know big companies know nothing about simple SEO, and fail like this all the time, but us hustlers should know everything about it. I read about your future plans and all that shit and to be honest it was all so ridiculous it made me playa hate you a bit. It's not even your douchy ideas or your childish plans, it's just you man.

Learn some more before you lose your next set of stacks, bro.

It literally means Andrew doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to SEO and just got lucky.

And the fact that he spent $120k on some car site or whatever the fuck drivable.com is supposed to be is just LOL.

On top of it his house isn't even paid off.

Good luck with your duck face Andrew.

LOL, I was 19. And I'm pretty sure you couldn't program to save your life against me. And I'm pretty sure I know more languages, and could out program you blindfolded ass wipe.

As far as SEO, SEO is not my expertise, programming is, douchebag. And it's been four years, people grow up, and learn new things. Get a grip, ass wipe.

$120k is a pussy investment, and you should know that. Most business could wipe their ass with $120k you naive moron. It's called design, identity, and development. When you hire a firm, things cost money, you don't hire indians to build a great idea, and expect quality fucking code/design.

Only multi-fucking-millionaires pay their houses off in cash dumbass. Did you know most Americans finance their house with government loans and only put 3-7% down on their house you fucking prick, probably like your dumb ass. You're the one who caused the sub-prime mess you ignorant asshole. At least I put 93k down after closing costs on a $420k house, that I could easily sell for $475k in this market. I've been living in my house for 5 years now, do you know how much of the principal I've paid off now from the original 336k loan I took out? I have more equity in my house than you'll ever be worth you worthless piece of shit. Jump to conclusions, and make assumptions from what you've read on blogs, and you're bound to fucking fail too. Everybody fails, now stop being the usual cliche asshole who just fucking talks shit to people, because you think you're so much better, and so much smarter, that you deserve that money. At least I worked for my shit 24/7 for years, and didn't sit around stroking my cock, and playing video games you fucking idiot.

PS. The duck face obviously gets me more pussy than you'll ever get you fat fuck.

PPS: I don't usually feel the need to argue, but you seem like you needed to be argued with, this is my last post in this thread. If anyone has questions, just message me.

Tell us a little bit about some of the software you've written. Also knowing more languages than another programmer doesn't make you the better programmer.

Who gives a fuck who can program? People who make money pay someone else to program shit. Congrats, you could make decent money programming for other people who make real money. Nothing wrong with that.

Don't get me wrong, programming is a nice skill to have, but when it comes to the business side it doesnt make much sense to brag about programming and not knowing shit about the things that actually help the shit you program make money.

PHP/MySQL/AJAX is what I am fluent in, but I can really program in anything, C++/Objective-C/Java, name your game, and let's see who can write a better screen scraper, or more complex queries, or more complex regex. I know I am not the best, nor do I intend to be the best, but I have been programming since 6th grade, and started PHP in 9th grade. 4 years in highschool, 5 years outside of highschool.

Exactly, since he wanted to point fingers about me "sucking" at SEO, which is not my primary skill, programming is. I program as a hobby now. But what I do now is build companies, and raise money.
