How BlitzLocal's Founder Trolled A Whole Industry!



I find it hard to believe that this clown will even show up at ASW or speak on the panel after being outted as a con man to the entire industry. Maybe I am underestimating him? It sure will make for a very interesting time if he shows up.

The last thing this industry needs at the moment are a bunch of talentless broke idiots calling attention to "scams" that they've fabricated along with a bunch of other lies in an attempt to drum up business for their shitty local search play that's about 7 years too late to make any money.

Seriously- for those who aren't into the circle jerks of blogs, nonsense, and bullshit and are in this space to win this is one spectacle that doesn't need to be publicized.

We need an industry group that lobbies as so many have said before, similar to TASC in the debt industry. Once there is this with an extremely STEEP barrier of entry that keeps out most of those who find the Dennis Yu speaking engagement 'acceptable' I won't care about nonsense like this, in the meantime this little circle jerk potentially affects all of our livelihoods; and by that I mean traffic sources, ignorant journalists and ignorant authorities believing some liar and taking a crazy overly powerful stance against "scams."

Does Shawn have the right to do whatever he wants? Sure. Perhaps those of us being more vocal about it are whiners OR we're going to end up being right about the repercussions of not just silencing Dennis by taking away the only thing he wants more than the loss of his virginity: the limelight.

Affiliates are too independent to do this, the debt companies will sell to eachother and all but when it comes to a good campaign, we turn into a bunch of tinfoil hatters

IMO it is a slap in the face to guys like Shoemoney to have someone like Yu on stage with them. I can't blame him for withdrawing. The affiliate industry is already looked at as being shady by skeptics, and having this douche on stage really just hurts the reputation of affiliate marketing.

Right, except shoemaker(aka turkeyneckmoney) is a mogul and Yu is a hobo. It tarnishes the worth of the panel that one of the speakers who actually knows something withdrew, that's hard to dispute.
