How can I mess with this scammer?

I would jerk them off and say I cashed the check, and sent the money and the table with the delivery guys.

Than go nuts and say the delivery guys stole their money.

keep the charade going for a few months.

Should be entertaining, post phone calls and emails in this thread.

I had the same thing happen with a drum kit I was selling like 8 years ago, back when this was still kinda new. I'm really surprised there are people still doing it.

He offered me $3000 for a drumkit I was only asking $800 for. So I accepted, gave them the wrong address, and tore up the check Lol. In retrospect I think I should have maybe handed it over to law enforcement. The best way to troll'em is to see if you can get them in any shit.

Honest people are getting ripped off daily by these guys, i know someone personally who did. If anyone could put a stop to this, it would be you guys! I don't see how we can catch him with his pants dow, but if there's any way, your probably going to have to exploit his greediness.
 
say the check had the wrong payee/date whatever on it, get her to send another one. and another one. 'damaged in post' etc. keep her busy for years...
 
I am not that knowledgable, but this only means that check as payment method = purest scam ? And the person who will be responsible for all this will be person who get check on her name/company ? how FUCK this is even possible ?

Also, OP, you said you can deposit the check and clear it, which means you cashed it, right ? So you've got the money on it ? Maybe I am dumb and in this case probably is, but can someone point me where is the scam after successfull cashing ? Or it cause you have account in the bank and they will took it ? Even if it's the case how they can not know the check is fraud before all this shit ?

Sorry lol, still don't get it. She had checking book and writes check, so ... ? How the bank can say it's fake ? Bank should take money from bitch no matter what, cause otherwise I will never take checks as payment in my life, only for wipe ass probably:)

He just said he "cashed to check" to fool the scammer.

The scammer mailed him a forged/fraud check that a bank might not notice it was fake and they would indeed cash it.

Maybe drunk yeah, simply just now cashing some checks from aff programs and want to know the whole process how person who writes check can scum me lol

To my understanding when check was cashed it cashed, so it's a loss of person who wroted it.

Btw, what is the whole process of bank verification of check ? mine asked me for 6 digit number of check to verify them, so I assume they do it via that number to check if it's not fake, money is in the account, etc.

Lol you can make fake checks for banks and shit and if it looks real they're gonna cash it, but later on when it doesn't clear the bank comes after the person that cashed it. They don't go after the person that wrote it. I've gotten fake ones in the mail, licked my finger and smeared the ink on the check, but the bank isn't gonna do that. Especially if it looks legit.
 
Ah, I meant the case when sig is legit and bank still want refund for some wierd reason. If it's the case I meant in last sentence bank should pay the money anyway no matter what. "So you pay and be carefull next time". Cause anyone can just write the check then cancel, etc. What the point of checks then ?
