How did you first learn of Affiliate marketing?

I was in a bar with a girl and she told me about that and I started researching in google, then found an interesting forum in my country about affiliate marketing, which helped me to start.
 


There was a short thread on NamePros from some guy who made a couple of hundred bucks with a mortgage offer. Sounded a lot better than the 3 dollars a month I made parking my crappy domains...

LOL! That's what I thought too. Sell other people's ebooks as if it made you super rich! When I built my first site, I immediately went to clickbank to get an account and start selling them ebooks!
 
mubinahmed.com. Started reading the blog cause i was sick of working in retail, and have continued to learn ever since.

Saw a link that say "webmasters make money " .. I thought i was a webmaster and so i clicked it thought i could make some money and the rest is history......

I'm not a 100% sure what I was searching for now, but it might have been porn because I stumbled across GFY nearly two years ago and was instantly captivated :eek:

I did some porn marketing for about 6 months then after an Adwords slap decided to try some mainstream and that was what really took off for me. I still make a few bucks from the porn sites I haven't touched in over a year though. Can't beat the revshare option and sweet sweet rebills!
 
started first running myspace sites and made some decent money. got tired of the myspace sites / social networking sites and started reading some blogs. found wicked fire. launched my firts campaign 3 months ago. A ringtone offer. made a few bucks and launched my 2nd campaign making a profit too.

im at my 3rd campaign right now and still on the profit zone. :) but Im having some trouble finding more profitable campaigns and I feel stuck......
