how do i know if a site is banned from google?

It won't show up in the google search results when you specifically search for that particular domain. Or, if it's a rather new site... it could just be it hasn't been accepted into the search engine quite yet...
Then again, if you're sure the site is still LIVE and was listed in google at one point in time, and now it is not.... it's been banned.
Another option is to use this tool at iwebtool.

If a domain is banned by google would using htaccess to redirect the entire site to a another parked domain on the same server at least get you in the index? According to that tester my site is most likely banned, of course the site has been up since late Sept and has yet to be indexed...

LazyD, personally, I have no idea if the htaccess would work but if no one else knows if it does then you could test it out and let everyone know in the future. I think others would love to know if it would work or not.
