How do I raise an Entrepreneur?

It's not like being an Entrepreneur is the only good thing they can become. This country also needs teachers, doctors, law enforcers, scientists, psychologists, athletes etc...

Turbolapp the truth is the child/children are not taught how to be entrepreneurs, they are either a "work for the man" styled person or they are a leader/entrepreneur.
If you feel that your child/children show signs of entrepreneurship then let them explore that aspect of their life and even show them how business works by selling particular items they like (of course not their own) but ones they believe others will benefit from using. Do not forget such entrepreneurship doesn't necessarily mean that it is about selling something. It is also about finding an item or even making one that the entrepreneur believes someone and hopefully everyone will eventually want whether it is today or its tomorrow.

I have learnt from experience some people have leadership/entrepreneur skills and others don't. I wanted to go in to business with one of my closest friends but after spending time with this friend I realised they are a "work for the man" type of person who relied on a steady income.

If you are fortunate enough to have a child who isn't like that then make sure that you teach them about the value of a dollar, how to turn a product from a consumable to a resellable item where they can make money from it and finally teach them to trust no one in business as people will ultimately rip you off before they look after you.

I believe you should never spoil them too much and make them work for everything. I've noticed that a lot of my spoiled friends aren't very determined as the ones that work as teenagers.

Start teaching them about business at a young age. Read them the news, wall street journal, economist, etc. That's just what I'm planning on doing with my kids.

This

Teach them the value of money from an early age, and that it's always better to make a job than to find a job.

Help him to set up a mini niche site and let that be his pocket money :) if he wants more pocket money he'll learn quick

If they'll understand the meaning of creating something by yourself for yourself against the pitfalls of the regular job where some idiot can fire you on his whim, it'll be only natural for them to start thinking in that direction.

Send them to an upper class school and give them NOTHING. Tell them if they want what the other kids they are going to have to find out a way to get money to buy said things.

Be positive about it and encouraging.

Be sure they KNOW that anything they want to do they can do it. Its about the drive, any skill can be obtained regardless of how smart you are.

Worked for me anyways.

Travel is one of the best ways a child can learn. Traveling to a less privileged country than (say) the UK or US can teach the value of money. It can also reveal alternative ways to live that societies come up with if they don't have much money but do have creativity.

THIS.

Also, don't knock lemonade stands etc, when I was 10 I used to make £50/day for a bit buying these sweets from my local shop (you couldn't find them anywhere else) and selling them at school for double the price.
