Ok OP I'm just going to say it: go to Odesk. Find someone willing to train you to do basic IM work there for peanuts. You will
A) be making money from the start, though certainly not a fortune.
B) acquire some kind of skill set that is applicable to IM.

Ok, I know that this HAS TO BE Pewep!!
1.) Setup eBay account.
2.) Setup PayPal account.
3.) Sell stuff on eBay that you no longer need.
4.) Take that money and get your Domain, Hosting, and Aweber account.
5.) Setup a website for ANY niche with a Squeeze Page (Google it.) to start building an email list.
6.) While the list is being populated go to click bank and sign up. Then research products that you could market to your list.
7.) Once you have 100 names you can email, start sending offers to them.
If you get all that done you will then be able to BEGIN to LEARN actual Online Marketing.
Even if you only got a few sales on ebay and NOTHING from your Click Bank endeavor, you will have DONE the basics and now have a real world understanding of what it takes to just bump the surface of AM/IM.
I tell people who want to sell Physical Goods online to start out on eBay.
I tell people who want to be Affiliate Marketers to start out on Click Bank.
Of course this is for those who have NO EXPERIENCE with online marketing of any kind. It gives them the basics to build from.
If you can't even sell on eBay, then you won't do well with a dedicated website for physical products.

When you say you want to do IM do you mean you want to have a business online in a particular niche and learn how to market that business using internet marketing or do you want your niche to be IM itself?

Internet marketing can be overwhelming but to simplify it for you I would recommend you start by building a list of subscribers that you can promote and market to on a daily basis. This is what all to successful internet marketers have in common. The money is truly in the list. I say this from experience. I did not start making money online until I realized this. Your list is your business. You need to treat it as that and invest in it and watch it grow. Hope this helps...
It sounds so good from a distance but when you are actually doing it, you get to know about the hassles and troubles you can face. However there are solutions as well. what you are talking about, looks like you have not got much information about it. You cannot start any tools until your you know about the base.
